Most aggressive cutting action. Removes oxidation fast and clean.I used a 6” orange foam pad and followed up with a 9” wool buff pad. Work in 2’x2’ areas and not in direct sun. Best compound I have used. My 30 year old boat looks new.

Heavy, quick cutting. Not for use of a novice unless you have a full understanding how fast your buffer and this product can burn thru the edges of your paint. This 3M product has a very specific job and is very good at it hence the name "Super Duty". If you are worried it will cut to quickly there are less aggressive 3M products available

Car was parked for days at a time in the same spot and a film of dirt from soot, gardening and trees built up and dried flat on the car paint, seemingly eating away at the paint. The gooey liquid wiped it right off and left a shine. The carwash would likely have been inadequate on its own. So this occasional step is necessary. Then I wiped on an expensive wax I had also purchased here, at Amazon, and the resulting shine was amazing. For the next few weeks just a quick rain was enough to clear away soot build-up. Small bucket of water and microweaved cloth sponge was all that was needed. And rubber gloves, also. Easy to apply and excellent value in a large easy-to-store container. Scratches needed to be sanded but then also spray on a little clearcoat if you sand.

Car maintenance is somewhat of a relaxing hobby for me and while waxing or even mild abrasives can make the painted surface shine, I wanted to give a car that I was selling that almost new look. I had tried other products available in the car cleaning aisle but I had some deep scratches they could not touch. So I purchased an orbital buffer, hook and loop disc, and a set of foam pads and tested the 3m product. WOW what a difference. The scratches were gone and I followed the 3M application with a series of Pinnacle products with successively less abrasion until I applied the wax. I was impressed....and so were the buyers of the car. If my first experience was not enough, my daughter decided to remove ice and snow from her new car with a plastic ice scrapper. Apparently, I never told her that a tool meant to remove ice from glass just might damage the finish on her car. What a mess. I thought there was no way these would come out, yet following the 3M application, all scratches were gone. I was very impressed....AGAIN. In fairness, if the scratch you are trying to remove is extremely deep (to the point of removing paint), no polish is going to fix that but if it is confined to the clear coat, I have not used a better product. Buy good pads, clean them occasionally, follow directions, and you should not have issues.

Hi I have used this product to restore faded finishes on a few 35 year old fibreglass boats. It works amazing with my Makita buffer, just a small area at one time. Be careful not to buff on one area too long as it will burn the finish. Keep your buffer moving constantly. I only use 3M products because of their high quality. If you have a tough faded finish to restore then I highly recommend this product. Of course you need to spend the time for great results which will be rewarding.

Product arrived on time did a great job. Got rid of the scratches ready for me to use swirl remover and polish.
