Fox Run 5716 Hand Crank Nut Chopper/Grinder, 7.5 inches White

We have only had the Gemco Nut Chopper from Geroy's for a short while now, but so far we are pleased with the product. It does not make the nuts into mush. The top seems a little flimsy (the plastic is thin) but the glass bottom is sturdy. No problems thusfar. The main reason I am doing this review is because I would like to comment on Geroy's customer service. I bought 3 of these nut choppers, 2 for Christmas presents. After I placed the order I realized I selected the wrong address on Amazon to have the nut choppers delivered to. I emailed Geroy's and they promptly emailed me back saying they would be able to send the nut choppers to the correct address without a problem or delay. When I received the nut choppers there was a note on the box saying "received possibly damaged" from the post office. Indeed, one of the nut choppers glass was shattered. I, again, emailed Geroy's and they promptly emailed back again saying they were shipping me a new nut chopper. Every email correspondence with Geroy's was extremely courteous and prompt. I am very pleased with the customer service I received with Geroy's and without hesitation I would do service with them again. Thanks Geroy's!

This hand crank Nut Chopper is a replacement for the same produce we received 45 years ago for a wedding gift. I like kitchen utensils that don’t require electricity. So two weeks ago our original nut chopper lid suddenly cracked in half. 😢 We used it for 45 years with great success. So when I found the exact same one on Amazon I had to have it. This device is simple and compact. The top, that holds the whole nuts before chopping, is plastic, but it is a sturdy plastic. The part of the lid that screws onto the glass, lower container is plastic also. Again very sturdy. I like that the lower container is glass bc it is easy to clean and won’t scratch up over continued use. It also holds 1 cup and a tiny bit more. It is easy to use; talk about intuitive! And easy to clean. A plus we have, is that our older glass container portion fits onto the new chopper portion. The newer glass container doesn’t have volume marks. Whereas my older one does. Performance of this nut chopper is great! If you don’t like using your on power to crank this, you might not like it. I like the fact I don’t have to deal with another cord or batteries. I’m looking forward to using this new one for the next 20 (?) years. At least! I would recommend this product to everyone and would buy again.

I bought this grinder to replace one that lasted for over 20 years. I have hardly used this one. I just now grinded some pecans and 2 of the metal grinding blades have bent. Seems like cheap substandard metal was used in making the grinding blades. I would look somewhere else before purchasing this nut grinder. Broken metal blades getting into the food is very dangerous.

This product is similar to one my mom had when I was growing up. For what I need it for it works well, small amounts of walnuts. The grind is fine, it comes apart and cleans easily. Glad it has a glass base. My one fault with it is that the plastic top and cover are a kind of chintzy, thin plastic.

This is the best chopper I have ever owned. I mainly use it for walnuts. It grinds them into perfect little pieces almost all uniformly sized. Great for yogurt or banana nut bread. My mother gave me the one she used, thank goodness they still make the identical version!!! I have purchased three more just in case. The bottom is glass and it is best to wash AND dry as soon as done using it as it will rust if left wet over time.

It grinds the nuts I use for baking. It seems a little on the fragile side, but hasn’t broken yet.

I have used this product, only twice, to chop almonds. This has bent the chopping blades badly and the handle no longer turns properly. It does NOT chop all types of nuts as stated.

Funciona bien

This is a sturdy, excellent nut chopper. I love the glass bottom. I had another brand with a plastic bottom that broke. This one has already helped me make several pistachio biscotti recipes with the chopped nuts the perfect size. The only criticism I have (but not serious enough to remove a star) is that the handle is a bit small and not totally comfortable to use.
