Playseat Trophy Gaming Chair – A Lightweight Beast for Sim Rigs
I’ve been tearing up the track on the **Playseat Trophy** for months now, paired with my **Fanatec DD+, BMW GT2 Clubsport wheel, and ClubSport Pedal V2** – a serious direct drive setup that demands a sturdy rig. From intense GT battles to precision F1 laps to crazy Nascar finishes it holds up like a champ. Here’s the breakdown: **Ultra-Lightweight & Super Portable** Weighing in at just **17 kg (37 lbs)**, this thing is insanely easy to wheel around. I shift it effortlessly from right in front of the TV for racing and then back to the corner out of the way when not racing. **Top-Tier Comfort & Adjustability** The **ActiFit™ fabric** breathes like a dream and molds to your body, staying comfy through 3+ hour races. Full adjustability on **seat height, backrest recline, pedal plate, and wheel mount** lets me dial in a perfect GT posture at 5'9". Lumbar support is spot-on, and even with the DD+'s torque, there's barely any flex – feels premium solid. **Minor Wish: Better Cable Routing** With all the Fanatec cabling (power, USB, pedals), I crave **built-in front channels** for cleaner wiring. Zip ties and velcro do the job, but integrated management would elevate it. **Insane Value** For **$599 USD**, it's a steal – **powder-coated high-carbon steel frame** is bombproof, **tool-free setup** in around 30 minutes, and officially supports all major DD wheels like Fanatec out of the box with pre-drilled mounts. Perfect for serious simmers who want pro-level performance without a bulky, permanent rig. **Verdict:** Light, adjustable, comfy, and tough enough for elite Fanatec gear – the Playseat Trophy is a game-changer. Cable nitpick aside, I'm more than pleased with this buy. Grab one if you're upgrading your sim life!

No issues assembling, very sturdy, light enough to push around on carpet, adjustments require tools.
This was purchased to be used with a Thrustmaster T300 and T-LCM pedals. Previous seat was a folding one from the same company. In comparison, this one is much sturdier and roomier at the bottom despite both of them having the hammock style seat design. There were no issues with the assembly, which was completed in about 30 minutes, no need to enlarge any holes. I followed the order of assembly per the manual, but left everything finger tight until everything was attached minus the steering wheel platform. Then everything was tightened as evenly as possible trying to keep the tension even left to right and around each round pattern. There are some tubes that have a converging angle so it may seem tight, but once it's in place, there is plenty of slack to get the fasteners in with no tools. The pedal tray required light pressure to push the sides apart, but this helps hold the tray in place when the fasteners are loosened for adjustment. The sides of the tray are lined with a slippery material so it's not a metal on metal grind when you need to loosen it to adjust. Set up took another 30 minutes or so, transferring the hardware from one seat to the other, routing wires, and what not. Still looking for the most comfortable seating position. The seat back angle is a bit of a pain to adjust, you must lift the seat cover in order to access the bolts and it is not a tool less adjustment. The steering wheel for/aft position also requires tools and some disassembly and reassembly. This might be an issue for those with drivers of significantly different sizes in the household of friends circle. The pedals are on tool less fasteners and can be slid and refastened into the next position easily. Overall it's been a significant improvement over my previous set up and will be ready for when I move to a direct drive set up.

The perfect solution for my living space and Sim gear!
When I upgraded from my beginner racing gear and upgraded to something better, I wanted a rig to go with it. I was using a rig that setup in front of my office chair, and it got the job done. Won an online 3 hour endurance race with it, so it worked for me. When I got the new gear I was debating on what to get that doesn't take up a lot of space in my game room, supports the torque of my wheelbase, and supports my height (6'1"), and after a lot of research I ended up with this. It was the right choice for me. It fits perfectly without being in the way, it's sturdy but also light enough to move around and use medium sized bass shakers to shake the whole thing. It's a bit pricey for what it is, but way worth it if your concerns are similar to mine.

Not a bad option, depending on your needs.
I like the setup for running Forza. It’s comfortable and everything mounts easy. What I don’t like is the adjustments aren’t simple when you have 2 people switching out with a huge height difference. It’s also a PITA to get in and out of. I tend to want to put my weight on the cross bars but feel like I’m going to bend them. The seat works, but would like to see some changes.

Enhance Your Racing Experience with the Playseat Trophy Sim Racing Cockpit
The Playseat Trophy Sim Racing Cockpit has been an excellent investment for my sim racing setup. After using it for a month, I’m pleased to report that it comfortably accommodates my 6'4" frame, a testament to its thoughtful design and adjustability. It seamlessly integrates with my Thrustmaster T300 and loadcell pedals, providing a stable and immersive racing environment. I'm also considering upgrading to a stronger direct drive wheel base soon, confident that this rig can handle the added intensity. Highly recommended for serious sim racers looking for a high-performance cockpit that won’t disappoint.

Incredible!
I took a gamble on this frame but every step of the way I've been floored at the quality of build. I'm not all that small, 5'10 and about 230lbs and this frame hasn't moved at all! Extremely well built and sturdy. FFB can be felt through areas of the frame which only adds to the immersion. It can be lifted and slid from room to room with ease. Setup is very simple but allow a few days for adjustments to your body and style of driving. Looking at the price, it's steep, but overall I found it to be a long-term investment and so far I could not be happier!

Disappointed.
I was extremely excited to order and receive this chassis. Especially coming from the Playseat Challenge, which I absolutely loved. However, the Playseat Trophy has an abundance of quality control issues, poorly labeled instructions that do not properly label the included screws, and in some cases don’t even label anything at all. This is definitely not a chassis worth the price tag, nor does it appear that any quality control procedures are set in place in the building process. If it wasn’t such a hassle to disassemble it and re-package it, I would be gladly shipping this back to Playseat. I’m extremely disappointed in this product, and would recommend to look elsewhere for a chassis in this price range.
