Duratec Positioning Squares,Set of 4 (4) by Duratec

I saw a reviewer say these weren't square. These are dead on. I checked them with my Chappell square I paid really good money for. They're manufactured in Maine. Anyway, I chose these as an alternative to Rockler's "Clampit" squares when I read a lot of reviews claiming those weren't accurate. These work well. I got 4 of each size.

The 4" squares are absolutely essential for small frames, almost useless for large frames. I bought both sizes because you need to cover about half the each of the two frame sides you are clamping. For large frames, the 4" aren't large enough. For small frames, the 6" are too large. One size really doesn't work. You need to buy both sizes.

Using double-sided tape, you can quickly create accurate positioning jigs for a variety of operations. Because the squares are plastic, it's easy to cut them to size. In the last week, I've created a few jigs with them to accomplish repeated steps in a production process. I'm now ordering a second set.

Cheaper than Rockler and just as good. The first thing I did when I got them was check them for square and they all were spot on. They are made of fiberglass impregnated plastic and very stiff.

These are terrific little squares. Very sturdy. Certainly helps me assemble my wood decorative boxes. I would recommend to my family and friends.

Nice inexpensive squares. Two were not exactly square but only by a little bit. I did notice once you get them clamped they did square up though. I'll probably buy the 6" version also because they are quite handy .
