great item but not really waterproof

I bought these boots because I need something in which to walk the West Highland Way, and I’ve owned Salomon trail shoes and walking boots before and found them comfortable and of good quality… however, these boots, while comfortable in a dry kitchen, and which have ‘waterproof’ written on neat little decorative labels on the outer of the boot, were soaked through within half an hour of walking in medium rain through a field of possibly 8” long grass. My walking socks were sodden when I removed my boots, and my skin was wet. The boots are not going to do well on six hour hikes on WHW terrain, so sadly I’m having to return them.

excellent shoes but coming up small. You need to order a size bigger than normal.

I had soaking wet socks after walking through a dewy field.

Great pair of boots. Comfortable fit, great to walk in.
