Best AC Unit
Hello; im a vanlifer and during the summer months its freaking hot in my van. Even at night sometimes when my maxx air fan deluxe is worki g at full power. I needed something else to cool me off than pull unwanted mosquitoes in my van.....lolSo, i purchased this ac unit and was finally able to install it after my medical issues were temporarily fixed. After some minor fabrication to installing the pump right-side up under my van; i must say this ac unit looks freaking awsome.I powered it up and it sounded good and instantly i knew i made a good investment. Here are some some helpful pics of what i had to do just in case anyone wanted to learn how to install it under their van outta sight like me.

Update not worth the headache that this unit will bring
So I have wrote and rewrote my review because I have tried to get unit working because since I got unit I have regularly got a E01 code I do not know what this actually is because according to the seller you have to have 75 continuous amps to run which means your battery must put out 196amp hours to run unit it can’t put out more because it will kill the unit apparently the seller is absolutely no help on fixing it because their response to every single problem is the same you need change your battery bank well I have done this at least 3 times still 2years after installing having the exact same code E01 I have done everything I can to unit it still DOES NOT WORK one of the absolute biggest mistakes I have made was buying this unit because it has been nothing but problems since day 1 and I still have to do the exact thing I got this unit to avoid and that is idle my truck my advice is while these units do likely work this particular unit is ABSOLUTE JUNK and their CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVEN WORSE THAN THE UNIT ITSELF so my advice is avoid this seller at the least

WORKING GREAT
Just finished installing this unit in a 1991 Kenworth T600. The semi has factory AC but is in disrepair and this seemed like the easier route to keep my driver happy. Install was straight forward. I rented a vacuum pump/gauge set from AutoZone. Air is cold, and driver is happy. Cant ask for much more. Thanks!

Works pretty good
Worked pretty well, maintained desent temperature in t680. The unit lasted 2 years. Well a week shy of 2 years from the date of purchasing it. Blowing hot air now and is over voltage my 12v converter. Wires getting really hot. I tried adding freon. No good. You would expect 700 dollar purchase to last a little longer. There's not any better on the market for the price. So think about spending more lol.

Easy self installation, however….
They sent the wrong hose connection with the first unit I purchased. Amazon support was useless and so were my local ac companies and even hydraulic hose providers. I ended up ordering a second unit and the correct connection was in the new unit.Update: After initially leaving this review, the seller contacted me and has offered to ship the correct hose connections and a small amount of money for my inconvenience. The unit has done well since installation. Only time will tell for longevity and reliability.

Works fine for a few weeks
Unit worked normally for a few weeks. All of a sudden it started drawing almost twice as much wattage as normal (1200w vs 750w) and started popping fuses. I've checked all of my connections, and replaced the fuse a few times (which is only 60a). I will note that the power cable that comes with it is rather small for the load and heats up quite a bit while in operation.EDIT:I want to point out that the increase wattage pull I'm seeing at my battery is likely due to resistance in the power wire provided by the manufacturer. The included positive and negative power cables are too small in diameter to meet the 75A draw. 75A requires at least a 4 gauge cable. This is why the power cable gets so hot, which creates even more resistance, requiring even more amperage from the battery to meet the requirements of the AC unit. The wire gets so hot it causes my 24v-12v converter to shut down due to high temp-shutoff.
