Does the filling actually taste like almond butter, or more like a cloying almond extract or flavoring?

As one who makes her own almond butter, I'd say it takes pretty close, just not the same texture as almond butter. The filling is smooth and creamy vs almond butter that is chunky and a bit more on the pasty side. They taste good though.
