Personally, there probably isn't a more difficult puzzle out there. Sorry, to say could not complete the puzzle without look at the puzzle map sheet that came with it. I just photocopied the sheet and marked off as I went along. Sorting is a must with this puzzle. There are some crazy shapes for sure which makes it fun. For me, the border is impossible to do to start off with on this puzzle so I just started in the center and worked my way out from there as the border doesn't interlock all the way around unlike the silver version of this series. This puzzle probably took the longest compared the silver version which was completed in half the time. This puzzle starts with a circle and then goes to a rectangle and then switches back and then ends at another rectangle. You definitely have to have patience with this puzzle so if you don't have patience don't even think about doing this puzzle. Sometimes you are trying almost every piece in the shape you need to then do it again and again and again for like 7-8 puzzle pieces in a row so it can be tedious in some areas. The puzzle map is somewhat accurate but not completely accurate. There is one puzzle piece that looks like a big multifaceted block that actually is two puzzle pieces not one so can't tell you how long I searched for that puzzle piece until I figured that out. Sometimes the actually puzzle piece is the same style and cut but looks a little different so all else fails try them all and one will click. Now, the downside is yes you can accidentally use a wrong piece which then the map comes in handy as some puzzle pieces line up, some fall short and some overhang and are all correct so there is no guide to use other than the puzzle map. My best advise is to have a starting point and work from there. Two people can easily do this puzzle one starting on one side and the other on the other side which is what we did. But, don't just randomly put puzzle pieces in as then trying to plug in and match up is a challenge trust me we did that too and you can easily put in the wrong pieces and it is a hot mess. Just complete the puzzle systematically is the best way to do this. When it is all done you will probably say never again like I did, but then go off and complete the silver version which is easier than this one for sure. Leave it to me to start with the hardest, but I just order the black version which looks super difficult but we will see.

Ravensburger makes some of the best quality puzzles around, and the Krypt Gold 631 is no exception. The pieces are thick and lock together nicely. I thoroughly enjoyed building the puzzle which I was able to do over the course of a weekend. Overall the puzzle was well worth the money spend. In fact, I decided to purchase the other two Krypt puzzles by Ravensburger. Below are 5 quick hints/observations that you may find useful.1. Ravensburger includes a black and white picture of the finished puzzle that you can use as a key. I recommend using it! Note- On my copy, it showed one large piece (which I thought I was missing a piece), but turned out to be an error in the drawing. It was actually two separate pieces. I’m not sure if I could of completed it without going crazy without using the key.2. Since there is no picture, I would recommend sorting the pieces by number of holes/tabs, boarders, sizes, etc. as you take them out of the box. This will help reduce the number of possible “trys” you will need to attempt per piece. Sorting the pieces as you take them out of the box also keeps the puzzle dust in the bag instead of all over your work surface.3. If you plan on buying a frame for the puzzle, it measures 19 ¾ x 27 ¾, a 20x28 frame works nicely.4. The puzzle is well made and tight fitted, if you find a piece that works but just a little off, it is not the right piece!. I read some other reviews where people had to trim some pieces, this should not be the case.5. If you intend to use sticky sheets (this is what I use) to keep your puzzle together, I found that it was easy to flip your puzzle over if you build it on a scrap piece of drywall. Use another scrap piece when completed to put on top and then flip it over. Some people recommend sandwiching your puzzle between two pieces of cardboard, but I found that drywall was much easier since cardboard tends to bend and flex.

The color is crisp. The pieces fit together so satisfyingly well. I love the concept of using shape and shape alone to solve it instead of a picture. I absolutely love it. If you have a puzzle loving person in your life who enjoys a moderate challenge, get them this. Took me about week to finish, maybe 20 hours tops, going about it casually.

I loved doing this puzzle. It was time consuming but not frustratingly difficult once you wrap your head around how the puzzle operates. It is extremely satisfying to look at as well once completed. I highly suggest it for that avid jigsaw puzzle person you know.

Yes. This is a fun but hard puzzle. It makes you look at puzzles differently. I will buy another in the future.

Great but a line was missing on one one of the pieces in the diagram. What you think is one large piece is actually two. We drew the line on ours. See photo. Wished that the edge pieces all interlocked together. The diagram isn’t exact, more like hand drawn.

My wife loves puzzles and complained about some being too easy. After receiving this she came home and cussed me :)

Worth every penny!!! Ordered for my mom to keep her busy during the Covid19. Kept her busy for weeks. 😁 Puzzle pieces are a good size and NOT cheaply made. Very happy with this purchase. Would definitely order again. Might order her the solid black one but she might kill me. 🤣 great puzzle ! Buy it!!! You wont be sorry. 😁

First off, for the record I bought this puzzle myself knowing full well what I was getting myself into. But wow. This one was a challenge. The straight pieces in the rectangle section in particular were difficult. And because the outer edge of the puzzle is circular, you don't have a solid rectangle edge to work off, making it more difficult! Theres no picture to work off, so you are just trying pieces in the same spots over and over again. But if you sort the pieces according to size and shape, and line up a few good podcasts you can get through it! It took me just over 20 hours, and I worked on it over one month.

Me encantó!! El Nivel de dificultad es excelente porque trae piezas uniformes y únicas, trae un instructivo que te ayuda mucho para guiarte y no perderte, lo único que encontramos distinto es que en ellas aparece una pieza grande que en realidad está formada por dos piezas; en un inicio pensamos que no venía, pero al terminar el rompecabezas nos dimos cuenta de que esa pieza no existe y la sustituyen dos piezas más. La calidad es excelente, el color es un ocre metálico mate muy bonito. Se los recomiendo.

Für Puzzlefreaks eine echte Abwechslung.Mir hat es richtig Spass gemacht, obwohl ich hier die Anleitung dazu nehmen musste.

Maybe not the most interesting motif, but an interesting build if you have a loot of time.
