Lovely nostalgic toy

Fun, vibrant, good quality, nice colours. Had this pony as a child in the 80s and it’s a happy memory recreated. Another reviewer pointed out that the original’s name was Sweetie in the UK so that explains why I couldn’t figure out what seemed different at first, but now mystery solved. Shame the pony wasn’t still at an 80s price but nevertheless I thoroughly recommend it

I bought this little pony because it was one I never had as a kid. She arrived in pristine condition and was an absolute delight to open. I found taking the plastic hair ‘packaging’ a bit annoying and largely unnecessary but other than that she looked just as the originals do (lacking only that weird chemical smell that I kind of loved as a child but was probably horribly bad for me!). These are so reasonably priced and I’m certain would make any pony lover very happy. I’m so delighted they’re remaking the original style again as they’re just a lot more charming (in my opinion).

Bought for my granddaughter looks the same quality I bought for her mother nearly 40 yrs ago!

Bought as a birthday gift for a young girl, because her Mummy and I played with them as kids. Nice blast from the past for the adults, appreciated by the little recipient. An ideal toy for distraction when travelling.

I would give this pony 5 stars, because the product is the usual level of quality I have come to expect from Basic Fun replicas. Only two things stop me from leaving a 100% review, however.Firstly, this pony's proper name in the UK is 'Sweetie'. This won't be a big deal for most people, but for me, it rather killed the nostalgia seeing the American name on the box and, more importantly, the sticker.I realise one name for all keeps production costs down, but it's a shame, and I actually delayed on adding her to my set because of this small detail.The other, perhaps more functional issue is the lack of curly hair, which Basic Fun have not yet mastered. The hair is silky and smooth, however. Mine has a small amount of something (product?) in the mane which I was able to remove.
