We just switched energy supplier and our smart meter is not compatible with the new supplier so I am back reading my own meters. But could not find the gas box key to open it. This is cheap, a couple of quids including delivery for 2 keys is cheap considering the usefulness of them. (I think) They opened the gas box! And they closed the box! And they were put away to be used in a few months again, hopefully by then I can still find them. Probably if you are gas engineer and use this key daily then get something more sturdy, so you won't worry them breaking on your keyring or tool box. If you are like me, they will last until you lose them. Very happy.

Some of the reviews stipulate that these as flimsy however for the price for the pack you can’t grumble and are fair quality in regular to the product. Always handy to have on hand / spare just incase of an emergency. I love that these are just plain not bright yellow like my old misplaced one which came with my home. A rather ghastly yellow. Also, they have a hole allowing a keychain loop to be added. A great bonus meaning you can clip it to your house key in the area of the house in nearest proximity to your meter box. That way you can never misplace it and can grab it in a rush without having to find it beforehand ideal in emergency situations! If your after something more robust I recommend a metal one however as a backup back 10/10..
