I live in Phoenix, AZ and have been needing a riding jacket for early morning commutes to school. I ride 26 miles to school everyday at about 80 mph in 40-50 degree weather. This jacket is perfect for the weather and I couldn't be happier.FIT:Like other reviewers have said, average sized people will need to order one size above their normal jacket/shirt size. I am 5'8" 180 pounds and wear a medium jacket and shirt. I ordered a large and it fit perfect. Keep in mind that this style of jacket is designed to sit high on the waist as the picture shows. It is best suited in the sitting position, hence the name Bomber Flight Jacket- made for pilots sitting in a cockpit.COMFORT:As mentioned on the Alpha Industries website and from personal experience, this jacket does best in 20-50 degree weather. The first day of wearing it I took it out for a ride on a 60 degree day and found it felt perfect at freeway speeds. Once I stopped to walk around, though, it was a tad bit too warm and I felt myself wanting to take it off. This jacket is more of a fall through spring warming layer depending on where you live.FINISH:This is probably the best jacket I have owned. It is made of high quality, durable materials and feels like it was made to withstand military use. Go figure. It is thicker than expected which was pleasing. The outer (darker) side is made of a thickly woven, almost rubbery feeling nylon that causes water to bead off in light rain. The inner (orange) side is a bit lighter in texture. The outer pockets are great for storing keys, a wallet or cellphone, but the inner pockets seem to be angled too far forward for storing anything of value. The arm pocket is perfect for cigarettes (if you're a smoker) or keeping a comb and registration, as I do. Lastly, the zippers are made of HEAVY brass and seem very durable. For the price, this jacket is a great deal.CONS:The inside pockets are not angled upwards enough. I put my cellphone in one and when bending over it slipped past the snap-fastener and fell out. No biggie, though, just don't store anything in them that is too small to slip past the snap-fastener. For those who are considering using the inside pockets for concealed carrying a pistol, I would recommend against it. With the angle of the pockets and their small size it makes concealing anything larger than a Glock 26 quite difficult in my opinion.

I hoof these gotham city street, NYC and I ride my bike to get around, and this coat, which arrived today, fits the bill. Its lighter than I imagined but so cozy and well insulated... and sturdy. I like the sheen on the olive green version.. gives it a modernist vibe.. swish be damned. I'm 6'1 260... and the 3xl fit PERFECT. Stepped out immediately in a cold pre-winter December evening, and was toasty warm. Wear a bit of cold war era history with this bad boy. I already bought the NB-3 slim fit Parka.

Perfect in size, fit, color, warmth, wind resistance and comfort. Excellent quality materials and workmanship. Looks terrific. Identical in nearly every aspect to my original Air Force issued MA-1 Flight Jacket back in the day. Really like it.

Truly an iconic look spanning five decades. Also, other companies make them but Alpha Industries is boss level quality.

This jacket fit me just how I wanted it to. I’m 5’ 11, 145lbs m. A large fits perfectly. It’s a little puffy. Real warm! Super stoked so far. No rips or tears. Came with everything it said it would. Looks just like the picture. Totally recommend purchasing. The only issue was that Amazon said I’d receive it two days before the day I received it. It said if I had bought it when I did I’d get it the next two days after but instead after I bought it it changed immediately to 4 days after. Like why lie about that lol? Just be straight up. I wouldn’t be saying anything about it right now. But other then that it’s perfect! Thank you for this awesome bomber jacket! It’s bad@$$!!!

Ok, I bought a jacket from another vendor and when it arrived within five minutes I was packing it up to return it. It was a cheap missized China knockoff. This jacket (although it's MADE IN CHINA) is the real deal. Fits according to size chart. Heavy duty construction and was well worth the extra $40 compared to all the knockoffs that are being sold. As a big man 6'4" 280 the XXXl the sizes posted was spot on. It's long enough and don't ride up your back or belly. You can tell by the weight that it is well constructed and is built to last. If you are looking for this type of jacket, don't settle for the $45 one it's junk. Spend the extra money for a quality product. Alpha, you would get the full 5 stars if Americans made this jacket. I look forward to wearing it.

Sizing:Tall sizing could be longer but I am 6'6. The jacket sits just below my belt at the back and a little lower than that at the front. Sleeves are great length wise. I also think the sleeves are great in terms of fit with just the right amount of room. To those used to buying MA-1s from the likes of H&M/Uniqlo/other fashion retailers, going true to size on this will result in a slightly oversized fit (which is good for a bomber of this type). The body is perhaps slightly too generous as fabric tends to fold on the back considerably, but this is a matter of taste I suppose. It's a classic fit MA-1 true to the original worn by pilots and doesn't feature a modern, slim fit.Quality:The nylon is fantastic, dense, water repellent and has a nice satin sheen to it. Zips are all beefy and feel like they'll last years. Stitching looks and feels sturdy. Cuffs are all a fairly heavy weave which makes them feel durable too. To be honest the only letdown is the remove before flight tag, these are very thin material which frays very quickly (experience from a previous Alpha MA-1 I owned). If you want one that will last you'll probably have to go to eBay!Hopefully this helps someone with a similar build to me looking for an MA-1.

Das ist genau die Jacke, die man bestellen sollte wenn man eine echte Bomberjacke haben möchte wie man sie aus dem Armyshop in den 90er Jahren kenntBei 1,88 m und 80 Kg passt mir die Größe L wie angegossen.Ärmel sind bei ausgestrecktem Arm lang genug, Reißverschluss geht gut zu, spannt überhaupt nicht, sitzt allgemein schön locker, die Farbe ist toll, was soll ich sagen, total begeistert.War erst ziemlich abgeschreckt vom hohen Preis, aber Qualität kostet anscheinend.

Real deal Alpha Industries flight jacket. Fits perfect no extra bulk or baggyness, classic look, no corners cut. If you fit xl normally buy up one size. Sometimes you'll want to rock a hoodie underneath and its perfect in 2xl. Cheers.

Top quality as expected with this brand. Fits as per ordered size so order your usual. Not the fastest delivery but still arrived within the delivery window. In my case it took 5 days from placing the order. The jkt is spot on for size and appearance. Worth every penny. Good communication with seller.
