There is an excellent combination that the factory has not taken advantage of ...
I have bought three of this watches just out of fear that they will stop making them. I own a Rolex GMT Master two tone and a IWC Little Prince that has had to be sent to the shop over and over for repairs. This momentum watch is the essence of elegance, simplicity, minimalism and clarity. No other watch can be read as fast or with such a small amount of even peripheral vision as this one. There is an excellent combination that the factory has not taken advantage of and it is this black watch with a redish-toasted brown strap (22 mm.) I am enclosing a picture. If I had to go on a mission to Mars, this is probably the watch I'd wear. Actually, I think I'm going to buy another one before you take the last one.

Pretty - Worthless - But Redeemable!
This is a beautiful watch. It is the most expensive watch I've ever had ($184.95). I love the watch band.So that's the good stuff. It arrived May 18 and was working perfectly. I was thrilled with it and treated it like I was afraid something might happen to it. I took it off to work in the yard. I took it off for showers. I loved looking at the "sapphire" crystal. What a cool watch! By mid-August the second hand quit working if I looked at the time in bed or on the couch.I called Momentum service and reported the problem. They instructed me to fill out a form and send it to IWSC, their designated repair facility in Utah, and to provide details and state this was a warranty repair. I had to pay shipping and insurance to get it there. It arrived at IWSC August 18. After some time I was informed there was a balance due to repair my watch. They had to reattach the hand, replace the battery and the seal (on a 3 month old watch?), and test it. After several emails, the Service Manager informed me that reattaching hands was not covered under warranty. After asking for a copy of the contract IWSC has with Momentum to do warranty repairs to see in writing if Momentum did not cover this, and asking nicely if IWSC could deal with Momentum, I was told I had to do that. After promising legal action if I did not at least get some proof IWSC was not required to repair this watch under warranty, they told me they called Momentum and got a "courtesy authorization" to fix the watch, and told me that no one at Momentum remembers talking to me or telling me to send this in as a warranty repair. So IWSC fixed it and charged me return shipping. They sent it back September 18 and the second hand was working again. Yeah!By October 4 the watch stopped. I reset it and it ran for a day and stopped. Apparently, when all 3 hands line up, sometimes it hangs up. This has happened twice now.So the moral of this story is DO NOT BUY THIS WATCH. The Company will not stand behind it and the repair facility they require you to use will charge you for warranty repairs - and then do them poorly.I got a cheap $42 Timex waiting on this watch to get back. It runs like a Rolex!UPDATE 12/14/2020 - In a last ditch effort, I emailed Momentum in October and shared my story. October 16 Chris VanNyhuis got back with me and authorized a return for repair to another location in Washington State. Momentum paid shipping as well! I sent it in October 19. On November 30, I did had not gotten my watch back so I emailed Chris again. Chris got back with me that same day. Momentum had repaired my watch and sent it to Maryville TN, a town I have never lived in. I informed Chris of this. He apologized and had a new watch of the same type sent to me. I received the new watch last week. So far, this one works well. Thanks Chris and Momentum!I'm changing my review to 3 stars.

Decent watch
Light, comfortable, highly readable, night luminosity not up to tritium levels, fades soon.Maker has a sapphire crystal as a repair option, but I did not see it available when I bought the watch. Titanium bracelet also available as a replacement, but not offered here for initial purchase. .Warranty requires watch be sent in for service every 2 yrs.I bought this b c of readability, waterproof, and titanium case.

Very nice watch
My 10 year old Bass Pro watch finally died and I knew I wanted another rugged dependable watch that would last for awhile. I first tried a 44mm diameter watch and that thing looked ridiculously large on my wrist. I also worried I would keep knocking it against things or it would get hung up on my jacket sleeve.I've had the Atlas now for about a month and its looks like its fitting the bill. The time is easy to read and accurate, the date change is reliable and the case is just the right size and light to boot. All hands align with the tick marks perfectly and I cannot hear any ticking even when it is quiet at night. The glow lasts a lot longer than my old watch, but it does die out sometime between when I go to sleep and when I wake up. That's not as important to me as it once was now that I use my cell phone as my alarm clock and its easy to check the time on that in the middle of the night.I've checked out the Momentum website and though the watch comes with a two year warranty, you can extend it two years at a time (up to 6) by sending it in for a full service ($28 - $60) every two years. Though I haven't tried it yet, it sounds promising that they offer several services. With my previous watch I had sent it in to the manufacturer a couple times after breaking the crystal face and I expect I'll probably need to do the same with this watch in the future. Once I get a good watch I like, I hate to lose its service. :)The only negative thing was that the watch band that came with the watch is for fairly large wrists. My wrists are 6.5" around and on the smallest hole it was still too lose. Not a big deal since you have to change the watch band every couple of years anyway and I found a nice replacement rubber watch band elsewhere. Too bad because I really like the looks of the original band, but oh well.Overall, very satisfied with the watch and I hope this one lasts me another 10 years with service.

Quality/Value
I've had a couple of Momentum watches, this one replaces a beat-up titanium model that just quit. It looks great clean simple, well made, band looks like leather but very flexible natural rubber. I have a small wrist so the 38mm size is perfect. Repair is a issue with this company since they are in Vancouver, BC and I'm in Ohio. They are small, and I have actually spoke to the tech on the phone. Usually get 2-yrs out of battery, so that's the problem, send back to them and it's about $60 or pay local about the same price without delay. Almost half the price for a brand new watch. I've done the DIY route but can't guarantee it will be waterproof.
