The entire surface is adhesive so a sticky plastic film this big can be difficult to apply over curved surfaces without leaving channels (folds). Those channels can allow leakage of the fluids (from the wound) that build up inside, or allow outside water to penetrate. My first attempt went in the trash. Our second attempt was with 4 hands and we got it on perfectly; well, perfect enough to stop leakage. There is an outside paper border that you hold to help retain the shape, then remove it once applied.When applied properly it provides great protection from the elements (shower, swimming, etc), a moist environment that promotes healing, a good view of the wound's healing process, and it comes off easy without any pain. Doesn't even pull the hair. I change mine twice a day to prevent bacteria build up and infection, but I don't know what a doctor would recommend. In my case, I've not had any sign of infection.My wound is a road rash from falling off of my mountain bike. Because of this film, the small scabs that originally formed, softened and washed away. That area healed in a few days. The more intense wound in the center is still healing after 11 days. It's pretty much the equivalent of a third degree burn: all three layer of skin are gone and it's healing from the outside-in, with scar tissue. It's kinda cool to see this process through the Tegaderm. And since it's not dry and scabbed, I have had no itching during the entire 11 days. Pain, yes; itching, no.BTW, I used a non-stick pad with neosporin and a self-stick wrap until I received the Tagederm. That worked out well, too, and it was easier to apply, but I still prefer the ability to watch the healing and take a shower or go swimming with my wound protected. My wound is on my leg and was originally about 7x5 inches. The unhealed, future scar is about 4x1. Even Tagaderm couldn't prevent that!

My husband had a cyst on his back that got infected. It was right in the small of his back. It started oozing and running puss. It looked horrible and he said that it was extremely painful. I could barely touch it. I had to clean and pack it three times a day. But it was running so badly that the latex free bandage would fall off. Those bandages are very expensive and cost forty dollars for ten and they were dropping off before an hour was up. So I bought these clear waterproof covers. OMG. Best thing ever. I had bought the 6’ by 8’ gauze bandages so I bought the same size of the clear covers. But I found that I had to use two of the clear covers! But that was okay because they cost a lot less than the gauze bandages! I put one over half of the bandage and one over the other half. Perfect! It stayed on the entire time! No puss or blood leaked through! No messed up clothing! No messy sheets! My husband even worked in the yard and was sweating and it did not come off! The best thing was that they are clear and I could see when the gauze bandage needed to be changed! It was waterproof so he could shower. He could go out and not worry about his shirt having blood on it. And when I had to change the covering it came right off with no pain! My husband’s back has healed and looks normal! I am so grateful that I discovered these clear bandage covers! They are worth the money. And I will continue to use them. They come in many sizes and I will be a faithful customer for life!

I'm a competitive swimmer, so I spend 12-15 hours in the pool a week. I'm also a bit of a tattoo addict. These two things DO NOT MESH well. I bought these as a test to see if they'd work after my most recent ink addition and I was more than pleasantly surprised. They stayed on during the initial shower trial, and then during the drying phase. Then for a short dunk in the pool and then subsequent longer and longer sessions. PLUS, there was no constant moisturizing needed. I changed it once over the course of 10 days and I will be using these for every subsequent tattoo I get!

I care for my mother who requires a lot of wound care. I attempted to order these exact dressings from a local pharmacy and they were over $70 for ten (!!!). I turned to Google and Amazon and found the exact product unbelievably cheaper. The product is good quality, and my mother has not reacted to the adhesive when she is sensitive to adhesives so that is also great. The only critique I would have (which isn't directed toward the seller, but at 3M, the producer) is to have a viewing window so you can see where you are placing the dressing.

I buy this product for my mother in law she has a dialysis picc line she has to cover and the only complaint is that it is not sticky enough and has to place more tape, i feel that’s a little inconvenient due to they are a little pricey.It does what it’s supposed to do but it would be nice if she didn’t have to extra secure it.

Put this on two days at a time replace dressing and tederma until you show spotted natural skins spots. Then treat with scar gel til color is fully Rejuvenated. This is the most efficient product for road rash in the market.

I love these bandages for the kids and even myself, when they have a large abrasion and we still need to bathe and swim in the summer months. May dad used them on his back when we traveled to Mexico for a vacation. No water or sand gets in. The adhesive is strong, but it is not painful to remove. It is completely water resistant.

This is one product that I just can't trade for the store brand. This is the one that works, the store brand I tried just can't match it. This one stays on much better and longer.
