Black angus
Black Angus are hard to find. Grandson was happy to have solid black cows. Small calves are very small.

Realistic cows
These are pretty small but fit well in the truck I bought.

My grandson loves them!
They are the same quality as the old Ertl toys that I used to buy my son. My grandson loves them. They are exactly what I was expecting. I wish they would make more farm sets like they used to.

Good but could be better
They're just slightly oversized for 1/64 scale unless you consider them all bulls, but they do work well. They all appear to be bulls except for the calves. If they had a mix of cows in there that were just a little smaller then bulls then these would be fantastic. Ertl should make the set with all cows and 1 or 2 bulls per package along with several calves. A good mix would be 2 bulls: 15 cows: 8 calves

One package out of the eight packages that I ordered
The one package out of the eight packages I have ordered has missing babies, two of the babies feet are messed up and wasn't finished in the mold process. There are 14 cows present but six cows are missing and there are three babies missing out of this package. These need to be replaced and my missing cows need to be replaced.!

I wish I could get Texas Longhorns
My herd of plastic cattle came in a plastic (polypropylene?) zip bag. The cattle plastic feels a little waxy; possibly they are also polypropylene, but they are plenty sturdy for my needs. They seem to be unpainted, and cast out of solid black plastic. I easily spray-painted these silver. My bag contained 10 alert cattle (1.75" L x 1" T x 0.5" W), 10 grazing cattle (1.75" L x 1" T x 0.5" W), and 5 calves (0.8" L x 0.5" T x 0.25" W). I am not a bovine anatomy expert, but none of these "cows" have udders, so I can only assume they are all male. Their shape does seem to conform to the photos of Black Angus, however, and they have no horns.I only gave 3 stars because what I REALLY wanted was black Texas Longhorn steers--the most frightening animals I'd ever seen, and they will just stare at you like malevolent entities from the abyss--but longhorns are very difficult to find at this scale at reasonable prices, and I needed some cattle quick.
