This is a nice kit to have, not everything you need to clean and maintain with but still essential. I bought a set years ago after I got my hands on an oil set but the place I bought it from had bad workers who didn’t tell me I’d need a set like this one. I was pleased with it but unfortunately I had to get a replacement due to a move mishap and I rebought this set again because I trust it completely. Everything is super to use, cleaning and maintaining is a breeze.

Punch set is solid works as described at a very fair price. The rubber hammer is a little janky, but for my needs, it seems fine.

Overall, this punch kit is well made for the price. Stood up well to hits from both the rubber hammer and a metal hammer. My gripe and star deduction here is that this is one of the top results that comes up when you search “Gunsmithing tool kit” on Amazon. However, the smaller punches are a completely ineffective length for the bolt catch release roll pin on an AR15 lower receiver. This led to a grueling assembly process because my punches weren’t long enough to effectively be hammered. Many hours and a few scuff marks on my lower receiver later, I finally got it assembled. But had I known what I know now, I would’ve bought a kit with longer punches and a copper tipped hammer. Only deducting 1 star because it’s otherwise well made and the description doesn’t claim to be a kit for gunsmithing. However, the company should request that this punch kit not show up for gunsmithing related searches.

A gun owners dream. I have all the punches necessary to work on my firearms now. The hammer is the perfect weight. Al the materials are well made. Definitely suggest!

Pin punch is made of hardened steel with convex roll pin tip and knurled handle. If you are building a lower receiver, then the punch tip may not be long enough for bolt catch release roll pin. But works great for other DIY work.

Nice tools set. Would have paid a little extra for a tool case or bag for it. But, I can get that elsewhere.

I don’t know what other people are complaining about if he use his tool properly it works just great. I have not broken anything yet and I’ve been pretty hard on. It works like it’s supposed to.
