Altego 16-Inch Channel Stitched Laptop Backpack, Gray (36301)

The bag is constructed well. Like the extra padding in the back and the separate laptop pocket. I only gave it 4 stars because it my 16" Samsung Laptop barely fits in the laptop pocket. There's a padded patch of fabric with Velcro at the bottom of the laptop pocket. I took that out and my laptop fits in but if it was any bigger it wouldn't fit. I've seen the reviews for some other 17.3" brand laptops fit. Other than that it's a great backpack. Love the front pocket, has a separate pocket that lined for your IPAD or 10" tablet. As well as all of the organizational pockets in the front pocket and on the front of the backpack. Very happy with my purchase.

This backpack is great. Holds my laptop, phone, camera, tablet and my wacom tablet. The padding is superb. I feel confident that my electronics are safe while I'm charging hills on my longboard in Austin. Plus it looks great and the price is nothing to complain about. All in all a solid 4 out of 5.

This laptop bag is spacious and offers a couple of zip up pouches in addition to the two large storage areas. I purchased this for a 17.3 inch Qosmio laptop. I like that the inside is a flannel design that reminds me of a thick sleeping bag. I can rest well knowing my gear is well protected. Also, the part that touches your back is padded, and the bottom is water resistant. I like how the back flap buckles in securely - it kind of cinches down the items in the secondary large compartment (which has several pockets also) and keeps everything from jostling around. Finally, this case looks MUCH BETTER IN PERSON than in the amazon picture. If I get a minute I'll upload some proper photos so you can see what I mean. It looks good. You can expect to look about as good as a geek carrying around a 17" laptop backpack could expect to look. ;)EDIT: After using this with my Qosmio x70 I need to update you. The laptop won't fit unless you remove the velcro pad at the bottom of the laptop case. Even with it removed the 17.3 is very tight in there. You might want to make sure your other gaming laptops will fit before buying! I can confirm that Toshiba Qosmio x70 series will fit - but expect a TIGHT FIT.

This product seemed to have good construction. However, it says it fits 17" laptops... i got a 17.3 inch laptop and i can tell you that it wasn't even close to fitting... it was at least an inch to big to fit into the pocket. Just a heads up for others like me. Now I am returning to amazon.

I simply love this bog. My 17" computer fit right in the back. It is not only lined with a wonderful fleece plaid, but it has a double protective wall between you computer and you back, and also between the computer and the inside of the rest of the bag. The stitching on this bad if very good. It is made very well. The straps are also made well and the extra pockets on the outside of the body of the outside of the bag and the top flap are great to have. I took this on an airplane with my husband computer (15") and it worked great it fits right under the seat in front even fully stuffed. Also, inside the bad it a very nice lined cushioned lined fleece plaid pocket that hold my 7" Kindle fire beautifully. I am sure other tablets could be held here as well. There is space for books, a couple of pens, and a division liner inside the bag. One the straps there is also a horizontal chest strap that is well made and very adjustable. This bad is very much worth the money and I do recommend it to those people wanting good protection for their electronic devices. I give this 5 stars!!!!!

This backpack has held up well. I love it. I've received a few compliments on it here and there and take it everywhere, 5+ days a week. It housed a Macbook Pro 17 just fine - tools, chargers, books, more. It now houses a Macbook Air 13. The plaid padding inside in the laptop case area and the tablet area is an awesome print, feels soft and cushions very well. It's pretty comfortable to wear in my opinion.The only complaint is the stitching came loose on one of the "panels" on the bottom of the should straps and one of the pieces of the decorative pipe is popped out now. That piping holds the other part of the clasp that you can see in the product picture. So I took the clasp piece that clamps onto the piping off so I wouldn't lose it.

I usually don't write reviews, but this backpack surpassed my expectations so far I feel compelled to commend Altego for its incredible work.I've had this backpack for about 3 months now, and I've got to say it's the best backpack I've ever owned! It's built extremely sturdily, and has very strong material and seams. The main pocket is like a sleeping bag for my laptop (and it's a big Windows gaming laptop), and protects it against anything without a scratch. The pockets are all conveniently located and sized, and so I can hold my water bottles, my Tascam sound recorder, my extra hard drive, my assortment of writing utensils, my charger, my extra battery, and a snack with ease.Please note that it is intended for students who carry their laptop/accessories and only one large textbook at the most. If you're looking to carry multiple books, I'd look elsewhere.

This bag is definitely made well but if you need to carry a large book or two plus a notepad or such, then this is not for you. I like the style but the size is just too small for the average student.
