USA-based triathlon officials - until this year - were used to writing their penalty report and letting the participant be surprised at the end of the day when they found extra time added to their finishing time. Every other federation in the civilized world used a card notification system to let race participants know they had run afoul of one of the rules on course and would have to serve a penalty on course. Of course, when the US federation announced the procedure change they did not announce how or where to get yellow, blue, or red cards. Thank you for a card which will fit in my pocket - thick enough plastic to punch a hole in the end for a lanyard, strong enough to withstand nearly anything, and (apparently) markable with a fine tip "sharpie" pen to remind the official which participants received which card notifications.

Very nice hard plastic cards for referees. Just used them in a game this weekend - I suspect they will hold up for a long time to come as they are sturdier and stronger than the typical cards you get in a referee set. You won't be disappointed.
