Great
I enjoyed watching this movie and would recommend it to anyone. There are some inherent issues with the movie which I noticed that some people may not like, but overall, the story is enjoyable and not deserving of a 1-star rating. The best advice is to watch it for yourself and conclude your own decision.

Better then you have been led to believe
Finally I'm going to put my two cents in, concerning the much maligned Eternals movie. The Bad reviews started way before its initial release, and I'm not sure how anyone that doesn't at least have some history with the original comic , could form an honest objective opinion concerning it. Is it great? By no means. Is it terrible? Absolutely not. In fact I enjoyed it, in all its flawed glory.I'm a comic fan, and particularly a Marvel comic fan , but when it comes to the big screen , I actually somewhat agree with Scorsese. They are really not cinema , in the sense of actual stories, characters with depth etc. They are kind of like watching a video game with just a touch of soul, to have you relate to the characters at least on some level. The characters are pretty one dimensional, and that's fine, but man these movies get old fast. For me at least Eternals was interesting and seems to be an attempt at a somewhat new direction. It definately helps to have some knowledge of the original Kirby comic. Although many of the characters look quite different , you will at least have a better sense of what the Eternals are, and some historical sense of the comic. When I heard that Marvel was doing the Eternals , I was kind of shocked. Although much of the art from the original comics was quite impressive , the original stories never seemed adequately fleshed out.I won't go to deep into any of it, or tell you how I think the new Eternals comic is excellent etc. I would just like to say, if your into the whole Marvel Universe , or comics, give the film a chance , draw your own opinion . I think it's fairly decent , with some cool ideas and definately some well done moments. It's a bit long, and kind of a mess, but hey, so is life. Especially if your an Eternal.

Very worthy MCU movie & great start to something spectacular to come!
FIRST and FOREMOST... do NOT read any of the comments / reviews for this movie... including mine below. Go and watch the movie for yourself without any possible doubt & bias and make up your own mind. Even if just to rent it before buying. That now being said...I don't know what's wrong with many of the naysay reviewers for this movie, other than that many of them appear to be just haters & trollers that are purposely writing negative reviews. Granted, not everyone is going to like every movie, but many of the reviews I've read seem purposely negative for the sake of being negative. I see it on many other movies reviews, as well as social media platforms more n more... it's like a negative cancer that is spreading faster n faster in this world where people are just wanting to be negative for the simple reason being negative. But, I digress.I will first say that, yes, this MCU movie isn't exactly the same in exact tone as the 22-movie Infinity Saga run of MCU movies, but it definitely is an MCU-class movie with plenty of awe & wonder, with great story telling. This movie is definitely not on par with the DCU's more "dark" motive of story telling, like how I've some attempt to compare it to, but I will admit to it having a bit more seriousness... and rightfully so. I'm not going to give away any spoilers mind you but, upon completion of watching the movie, I believe many of you will understand why. I'd say this movie (possible/hopeful arc) is actually similarly related to the GotG realm vs Earth & it's Avengers, and it wouldn't surprise me if there is a crossover or collaboration with the GotG in up coming Eternals / GotG movies... with perhaps an Avengers mixings even later on down the line as a bigger saga climatic event draws nearer to Feige's vision. As far as my mentioning of the DCU above, I as well enjoy their movies too and can tell a difference in them vs MCU. Hell, I never saw the deserving backlashing that Green Lantern received after it came out. Granted, I now prefer RR as DP, but that doesn't negate my liking of DCU's attempt at Green Lantern when it came out and have wished its sequel had been made. But regardless, DCU's vision of a more darker & more brooding approach to telling their stories seems to work for them. Although, I will admit that WB/DC's inclusion of a bit more jokes in recent movies was a welcome addition. So, even if an MCU movie were to come along that would be more in-line with how DCU makes theirs, then so be it. That doesn't mean it will be an awful movie nor worth of trashing it for the sake of some being "Team MCU vs Team DCU" extremists.Did his movie introduce a lot of new characters at once?... yes. Did this movie introduce new mythos' & character drama?... yes. Did this movie underwhelm at doing either?... absolutely not. Can this movie have some drawn-out "slow" scenes?... sure. But did that ruin the movie or cause one to lose focus?... heck no! If anything, it works for this movie. One thing that also will help for some to better understand what they watch, is the bonus features. For me, I didn't need them to have enjoyed the movie, but rather it helped me to understand a bit more about the movie's creative view & bringing to life from behind the camera.Going by the theatrical trailers I saw beforehand and my un-avoidance of reading some reviews, I will say that this MCU movie wasn't what I was expecting. But that actually worked out out great because, I think the movie movie was way better than how I assumed it would be... and that's a rarity when most of today movie preview trailers tend to give away too much and/or mislead by showing only the good parts prior to actually watching the movie in it's entirety. If you didn't take head to my warning advise at the beginning before watching this movie and have (obviously lol) read down this far, I beg of you to watch it for yourself be truthful to yourself rather than be influenced by haters & trolls. If you genuinely don't like this movie, fair enough... but at least review it fairly rather than an apparent dogmatic approach.

These are not the Avengers you’re looking for.
I wish this was a glowing review about a new entry into the MCU that surprised & wowed me. I can’t help thinking this was DC’s Eternals, it’s very cinematic … and boring. The jokes don't land very often, and the plot… seems driven along by convenient moments while the enemies (Deviants) appear every time the narrative exposition stops. The story seemed to be written by an Ai that misses how humans behave.Jack Kirby a long time ago wrote & drew The Eternals for Marvel, a story that was about ancient aliens, cosmic 1000 ft tall space gods, and how immortal super-humans lived alongside humankind, as gods among men, inspiring the legends. Im not sure the writers ever bothered to read it.The basis of Eternals was that Celestials took pre-humans as an experiment, and evolved them into modern men, Eternals & Deviants. Just a wild science experiment. This movie tries to retell the whole story & rewrite it, but bypassing important aspects. There are a lot of attempts to make the characters have backstories but its too tightly packed, with a very large cast. Can’t help but think its a long boring movie, but could have been an interesting season of a Disney+ show over 8 shorter episodes. If you miss this one, you really aren't missing much as long as the next movie all these characters are in shows the 10-15 minutes that matter.
