Highly recommended!
I purchased this scraper to remove bottom paint from my sailboat. It was highly recommended as the best manual option for scrapping boats on a few websites, so I figured I'd try it. It made very quick work of the many layers and many years of the old ablative paint. There is a touch and feel that is developed when using it, because the harder I pressed the more layers came off. I also Infrequently gauged the gelcoat as my arms became tired and I pressed a little too hard, or the blade was not as flush to the surface as it should have been, etc. For a 22' boat it took me 30 minutes to do each side, not including the very bottom. I would highly recommend this tool as being very effective and strong. I still need to do the bottom and plan on rotating the blade to get a new sharpness. I think the replacement blades are available here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JAIAWWI/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=AAWMMMG02YZDA&psc=1

Much quicker then chemical stripper--glad we got it!
Bought this to use with our Vacmaster HEPA vac to remove lead paint from our house--primarily off window and door frames. It takes a good bit of effort, and many of the larger chips flew off before they were sucked into the vac, but overall it seemed to get most of the dust and it was a million times quicker then most of the other paint-removal methods we've tried (though PeelAway still has a special place in my heart!) The simple fact that we could have a window or door frame down to the wood and ready for priming in a single day is fabulous! The hose adaptor on our vac fits well onto the proscraper's rubber adaptor, but it does come off in use. We taped the hell out of it last time, which worked well, but I think hose clamps might be a better solution. It was comfortable to grip and pretty straightforward to use. Is it worth $40 plus shipping? It's a piece of heavy-duty plastic with a rubber adapter and a scraper blade. Personally, the price feels a bit steep for what you get, but there aren't many other similar products, and it's saving us a bunch on stripper and making much shorter work of a very long list of jobs, so I feel it's money well-spent.It should be noted that my initial order arrived with some damage, but the seller was quick to respond and exchange it for an undamaged item.

Good idea, TERRIBLE execution and quality
Package came ripped, not Amazon packaging. “Adapter” does not fit even the smallest shop vac, it’s just a 1 cent piece of 4” rubber hose, not engineered in the slightest .Also, not 1 replacement blade. No instructions; although I don’t need them, I’m sure many ppl would. This is MAYBE a $15 product, considering that carbide blades are about $11 at the big box stores. Do not spend $50 on this; buy a decent carbide scraper AND a shop vac for that price. Disappointed, and I very rarely if ever take time to write a review, check my history if you don’t believe me. I really had high hopes for this 😟. I bit the bullet, so everyone else doesn’t have to.

This is the best paint scraper ever.
True you may need a Hyde tool for nooks and crannies but for doors and large flat trim pieces this will chew through up to 3 layers of paint easily

Impressive
Takes off paint to the bare wood. Used it on window restoration. Tried chemicals and heat to try and remove paint, wish I had tried this first. Does incredible job

Best paint-scraper!
This paint scraper works incredibly well. Note that it needs a small star-shaped bit to change the blades - I had to buy a new set of bits to be able to change the blades. It works incredibly well for removing paint from flat surfaces like door jambs. The vacuum won’t collect every last bit of scraped paint, so be sure to wear appropriate protective gear like respirators and safety glasses. Using bags and extra filters in the attached vacuum will help to better trap dust and fine particulates.

Not worth the money. Very flimsy, almost toy-like.
Have not tried it yet. It's simple enough so I'm sure it works BUT, it is no way worth $38.00 plus shipping. First impression is that this is a piece of crap. Very flimsy construction and only one blade. For the price, an extra blade would be nice. Also, the adapter is a joke. Cost another 8.00 to get it to fit to my standard shop vac. Do not buy! Finally tried it and it's just as bad as it looks. Mouth of scraper way too small to collect chips. Carbide blade constantly loosens up causing gouges in wood. Tried to return it but I'm expected to pay return shipping and re stocking fees of 20%. The adapter does not fit my shop-vac. Saw identical item( in blue) for 20.00 advertised in a handyman mag. Very disappointed in customer service.
