Q: any suggestion for protecting palms in winter

We used them to protect our oleanders.Temperature got down to mid 20s, still froze them to the ground.

Q: I've seen some mixed reviews about it keeping the planta from dying in the fall or winter, so does it keep the plants warm enough?

The first year it seemed to work well. So we bought more. But when we used it last winter, for some reason any plant or bush that was covered became brown and some died. We won't use it this year.

Q: Can you use this product wrapped around the plant all winter long? The plant I want to protect wants to start growth in early spring & then freezes

May depend on where you live. I doubt this fabric would do much to protect during a cold winter climate. It's very light-weight and meant to protect from the occasional frosts or one-night freeze, in southern, warmer climates.

Q: what is the height of the 10' round cover?

The 10' round cover is just that......a circle of fabric 10' in diameter with a drawstring around outside. It is very lightweight fabric. I use mine over a polyester emergency blanket to cover a very large in-ground tropical sago palm. My plant is over waist high and probably 5 ft across. My cover is maxed on size but 10' is the largest. They do make a rectangular shaped one I may have to modify for my plant. I'm in central Texas and that has worked for several years. We were single-digit temps this week so we will see how they fared. I have replaced these every 2-3 years, but haven't found anything better.
