Q: can you walk in these, at least to the bathroom and back, without fear of popping a leak (in the gel pack)?

The gel pack shouldn't pop. The issue is keeping the pack on securely enough to be safe.

Q: Is it one wrap? For both legs are they the same or left/right? Do you need to buy two?

It is one wrap which fits either left or right. I bought two so I could ice both feet at the same time.

Q: How long does this stay cold for?

Not long enough. It’s a great design, but the gel doesn’t freeze very fast, at all. It thaws quickly. Then another 2 hours to freeze. At least.
