I ordered the black matte handles (2 handle sets come per order), for the pocket doors in our bedroom, hoping to paint them navy blue. After reading extensively on how to paint this type of material that has already been painted, I was concerned how labor intensive it would be to sand them down before painting. BUT...I decided to just try the primer before sanding to see if it would stick... AND IT DID! Folks, all I had to do was use the primer and paint you see in the picture, and these were my results! (I did this over several days in order to allow for proper drying (and momming 😜) and to get the correct hue). Bottom line: They look beautiful, are very sturdy and easy to install (I'm not a drill-girl, but I even installed them myself!), and so far (1 month in), there have been no dings, cracks, or scuffs to the paint. Well done EaseLife!
