Fabulous protection, fabulous on your skin!
I’ve never used mineral sunscreen but my Dermatologist said it’s the best protection and safest type of sunscreen. After having a small basal cell carcinoma removed, from a lifetime of sun abuse, I’m trying to be a lot more careful. I have mature skin, mid-50’s, but still oily with breakouts. This product goes on smooth, rubs into the skin easily, and dries to nice silky finish. It really looks like you’re not wearing anything on your skin. Does not make my skin oily, even when sweating. Great sun protection and the texture of my skin actually feels better when I wear it! I haven’t had breakouts or severely clogged pores. Could use it as a daily skin protection product, not just at the beach. I also bought Sun Bum Clear Zinc. I like that too, but it seems to be a bit more silky and shiny. With all mineral sunscreens, they are a bit hard to get off. I use a mild facial scrub and some facial toner and it works fine. If you have oily skin, you may prefer the Zealios, but if you have drier skin, check out the Sun Bum. I’m really picky with skin products but I love this Zealios. All the great reviews, especially from surfers and others who require a high quality, effective sunscreen, sold me on this. Now I’m giving it 5 stars!

I LOVE THIS!! But not great for swimming
My mind is BLOWN. I have never been this impressed with an American sunscreen. Zinc that rubs in COMPLETELY CLEAR, fragrance free, is not greasy at all but not drying either, dries to a beautiful satin finish on the face even after a generous layer, and doesn’t transfer when touched. Best of all it doesn’t irritate/burn my extremely extremely sensitive skin, and is reasonably priced (I’m just using it on my face). I like Japanese sunscreens more, but haven’t found a fragrance free, water resistant one that is lower in alcohol content (too drying/irritating). Until then, this is all I will use.Only thing I didn’t like was the smell. Although I like that it’s fragrance free, it has the stereotypical sunscreen smell, which I’m not a fan of, but it’s something I can put up with.UPDATE:Went to the pool with this on my face. My face wasn’t submerged in the water, just splashed with it from time to time, and my boyfriend told me that he saw sunscreen dripping down my face. I haven’t had an issue with this when biking, but if this can’t withstand splashes at the pool, it’s probably not great for people who swim a lot.

UPDATE: Now my favorite sunscreen
UPDATE: This is now my favorite sunscreen. This was used by 4 adults for 2 weeks on a tropical beach and everyone came home golden with NO BURN, only blushed the first day which developed into a tan. We reapplied every 2-3 hours if sweating or swimming. We finished 3 tubes.Very easy to wear. Smooths on and does not run or feel heavy or greasy. I had been trying rotation of sunscreens/sunblocks with different ingredients. This has 2 chemical sunscreens and zinc (physical). The formula doesn't make me break out or sting my skin. It's completely fragrance-free and doesn't leave a white cast.Regarding the cost and amount of to use, I have noticed that many users of sunscreen apply it after they've arrived in the sun with their outfits already on (bathing suits, hiking shirts, cycling unitards) and then I read reviews of sunscreens as staining or ineffective. Before you dress for your activity, apply enough to make skin feel soft, rub it in well! Be thorough, at hairline, ears, flanks. Allow the sunscreen to dry before dressing. Then reapply carefully to dried skin and allow it to soak in a bit before re-exerting. This is true for any sunscreen. I've seen children with so much sunscreen cream on them that sand stuck to them like powdered donuts. Overuse of a product is ineffective, wasteful and very harmful to natural aquatics; it's also unnecessarily damaging to pool filters.

Holds up in Florida
Sunscreen holds up great in Florida heat. Doesn't come off while sweating. I use it everyday as a facial sunscreen as well. No breakouts or anything like that. I have also found that with this formula less usually goes a long way compared with other drug store brands.

Trustworthy Protection
I have very sensitive, acne-prone, and dry skin. I’m extremely pale. I use Differin Gel and that makes my skin even more prone to sunburns. Zealios has been the best sun protection I have come across. I first used it on a 10 day summer vacation that I spent on a tropical island. I was outside from dawn to dusk and Zealios was my armor. I looked like I had been indoors the entire time because after the vacation I was still pale as a ghost. I found that I don’t have to constantly worry about re-applying it because it truly is sweat and water resistant. I’ve never had a break-out from it or any sensitivity to it. I’ve tried some other brands, even including expensive department store brands, but this one always comes out on top for various reasons. I’ve been using it for several years now and it really helped me get rid of brown spots on my face that occurred when I was using another sunblock (before I found Zealios). I live in south Florida and Zealios has shielded me from the sun and it has stood up to the humidity by never running. My friend tried it at the beach and it was perfectly clear on her dark skin. When I go outdoors I feel certain that I’m completely protected. It goes well under light make up and even creates a glossy sheen under a light dusting of face powder. Thank you, Zealios!!! You’ve helped me have many happy days outdoors rather than hiding indoors or behind a towel (over my face)! I want to mention it does make my skin a little dry, but all the other brands I’ve tried (with zinc) cause dryness, too. Zealios is the least drying I’ve found, especially for the price and reliability. Because I wear moisturizer under the Zealios, it does make my skin more shiny than I’d like, but again - all the zinc creams I’ve ever tried do that, too. And I fix this with a light dusting of face powder, which then ends up as a sheen on my face and looks pretty.
