We have a new young male cat who is very enthusiastic about cleaning up in the litter box. No matter where I put the litter box I would always find lots of litter kicked all over the tile floor. Which needed to be vacuumed up every day. This inexpensive mat and screen has reduced litter on the tile floor by about 99%! When the cat kicks the litter now it bounces off the high sided screen, back into the litter box, or down onto the mat. It is a lot easier to clean the mat once a week and shake all the litter off instead of cleaning the floor every day. The mat and screen seem well made so hopefully they hold up over time. I will update this review in a few months if that changes. My advice is to check the product dimensions and individual screen dimensions carefully. I was under the impression that the screen would go all the way around the litter box size we have. With just a small gap as shown in one of the product pictures, for the size I bought (Extra Large). But it does not. That is ok so far because the high side of the litter box is on the open end. So litter does not easily get kicked over that side. Just be aware that the screens provided DO NOT go all the way around the edge of the mat as you can see in my photo.

One of our cats has IBS and unfortunately this means multiple runny high velocity poops a day on bad days. This wraps nicely around our large litter tray, was easy to put together and is easy to wipe down when an accident takes place. Would recommend.

I have not found this mat to be water proof though. They privacy screen is good.

This was a great buy. I had it saved for months. I decided it was time to buy it after my large bodied cat went off the back side of the litter box accidentally. This is perfect, it was easy to put together - clear instructions and tools provided. I enjoy a tidy litter area and this really is the perfect touch to help satisfy that need. My cats barely noticed it there and it’s business as usual. Happy mom, happy cats!
