Great value
Worked great and had clear instructions. Small so it easily fit in tight spaces.

Touch switch
Works well for my touch lamps & the dimming fuction help maintain the light level needed especially if it was for bedside lamp, good price too.

Worked perfectly. Easy to install.
Used these to convert some bedside lamps. Switch on the cord was impossible to reach and inconvenient to use. Now I just touch the base, and it cycles through the brightness settings or turns off. Better than a Clapper!

Both lasted 1hr and then broke.
I had to exact lamps that went out and purchased these for replacements. Installation was easy and self explanatory but they only worked for about an hour. They no longer work the light just stays on. Don't waste your time rewiring your lamps like I did they seem cheaply put together

Works as designed with a caveat.
Will not work with a grounded light fixture or lamp that uses a ground. I purchased these dimmers to use with hard wired sconce light fixtures. When attaching the sensor wire to the body of the wall sconce I naturally attached the ground wire in the metal junction box (electrical code) it rendered the switch inoperable. I had to insulate the ground wire that feeds the junction box from the box and fixture then the switch worked as designed.

Works
Easy to install with a little electrical knowledge. Works as expected.

This device will create a 3-way touch lamp with a regular single wattage lamp socket
This touch sensor works well to create a 3-way dimmer on a lamp with a normal single wattage bulb. It is also small enough to fit in the base of the lamp where the power cord passes through. The only necessary requirement is that there is a metal surface available on the outer surface of the lamp you can easily reach. You must wire the sensor wire to this metal surface so you can tap it to cycle through Low/Med/High/OFF.

Technically functional,.... technically
I had a great touch lamp from a thrift store. It's fairly old. In a lightning storm that took out quite a few electronics around the home, said lamp was a casualty. I know the lamp is fairly old, only by the circuitry of it's original touch switch. Big fat old school through hole soldering, solid and effective. This swap was easy enough. I've had to dock some stars here though, because this switch is substantially less responsive. I almost always have to repeatedly touch and or rub this lamp to turn it on. Interestingly, this is only after a period of being off. Once it's going, it's perfectly responsive. But that's not really helpful. The original switch of visibly older circuitry, (really looks like a board from the 80's, maybe even late 70's) didn't do this. One touch, on. So, this does technically function, but not as well as a 40 year old touch lamp should.
