Q: What is the difference between MirrorPane and MirrorView?

Mirropane and MirroView are both two way mirrors, however they have slightly different properties:Mirropane (glass is slightly tinted):Visible Transmittance: 11%, Visible Reflectance (Coated Side): 68%, Visible Reflectance (Glass Side): 16%MirroView (glass is clear):Visible Transmittance: 20%, Visible Reflectance (Coated Side): 74%, Visible Reflectance (Glass Side): 66%

Q: Would like to hide a security camera behind this glass. the new nest cam iq outdoor ... should i get mirropane or mirroview? what’s the difference?

If your just hiding the camara I would use the mirror film that you put on glass or plexiglass. The real mirror is to expensive for your application. The mirror film will do the same job. The only reason I used the real one way mirror was for use with the smart mirror. That's just my opinion. Hope this helps you. DAVE

Q: Which is better for smart mirror: mirrorpane or mirrorview? And why?

Mirrorview. Its pricier but well worth it. Ive used both and mirrorview offers better transparency once there isba light source behind it. Much better magic mirror effect than mirrorpane. I think the people who answered previously werent aware this seller lists both mirrorpane and mirrorview under this item and you have to select which. Both are glass mirrors with 2 way properties but mirrorview has better specs.

Yes this works as a one way mirror as long as the room your in is dark the person on the other side cant see you.
