As a marketer for a nonprofit, I purchased this book to help build consensus with our new logo and identity pieces. Staff was able to look through the book, see many variations, and determine what color schemes they liked. It was easy for me to explain the idea of an ancillary color palette. It was also extremely helpful in buidling my branding and identity manual. Well worth the money.

This book was referred to me by a colleague. The first surprise was that the book is only 5" x 6". But on the same hand--it's nice that the book can be out and not take over my entire desk. So, the color samples are small but good enough and plenty. The addition of pattern and graphic samples within the color scheme are awesome and would help even the most imaginative minded artist. These are spelled out in RGB and CMYK. Overall, this book will help me make color decisions quicker and push me to choose outside the box.

I placed an order for the Revised ed. of the Color index, Not only did it come in on time, but it was in Great condition. the service was outstanding and I definitely recommend anybody to buy here.... very pleased.

The ability to import color palettes with this edition is a great feature. Each section contains a palette of 12 colors, followed by pages of individual palettes that use a subset of these colors in different combinations. It's not possible, unfortunately to import just the 12 colors. The palette files are set up by the page, so in order to access all 12 colors, it's necessary to import all the pages and then delete the duplicates, which is a massive waste of time. I hope the publisher will attend to this issue and make files available for each palette of 12 colors.

My husband loves it, he is an architect so I guess it is useful for him. I bought it for him and he loves it. He is using it a lot too.

the book is awesome. it helps with color choices along with the break down of each color in rgb, cymk, or pantone. the seller was quick shipping out the book and it came how it was described.

I find this book a useful starting point for choosing a colour scheme, and I do use it quite a bit. But I can't help thinking it would be better as a download , as it would be easier to sort through what I wanted . For example if I want a scheme involving yellow, I have to literally look through the whole book because they're not grouped by colour. Whereas if it was a software I could just type yellow and it would pull them all out. Also would be good to have more detailed info about what certain schemes communicate. A useful reference but nothing more, and can be frustrating

Attractively presented with plenty of colour inspiration and information for beginner and advanced designer alike. Ideal size for carrying too.
