Immediate/early impressions of using this machine has been excellent. It runs as smoothly as you'd expect(hope) for one with this type of quality processing brain. Fast browsing, app opening, light/medium editing and multi tasking is all done in an effortless breeze.I like the fact the SSD storage came split into 2 parts. 300+ in data drive! A nice roomy place to store all your movies/series etc.. :)The screen is also a delight to look at. Coming from laptop that had an inferior "full hd" TN panel(1366x768)..the difference to this IPS panel(1920X1080) is simply stunning. Where I once endured dull visuals with washed out colors,, I now enjoy a screen that emits clear&bright, gorgeous vivid colors. The 100% brightness on this display is actually more than enough for my eyes to handle, and I've found myself settling on 70-80%. Dropping to 50-60%(ideal when wishing to stretch battery life) can also be coped with.During charging, the machine can become a little hot(the metal chassis most likely adding to this feel)..when the fan is on to cool the machine down it's in no way noisy,, and is much nearer whisper quiet. I'm no typing enthusiast so I'm not fussed by quality of keyboards..but I consider this one to be fairly nice to use. Certainly superior to my previous machine. I've no need for the camera so I like the fact it's tucked away inside the top row key above #7.What could be better?? Battery life, of course. I'd love a laptop that could run almost all day on battery power..but realistically I'm well aware that most laptops will disappoint as far as battery life goes. This has led me to be more accepting of what is on general offer. IF I can get a solid 5-6hrs from laptop through continual usage then I'm happy enough. This machine can guarantee me that so I'm cool with it. From most recent charge I timed getting 6hrs using 80%. Takes around 2hrs to charge back to full from 20%.The overall sound quality of the audio could be better. I don't know if it's the fact that I've come fromupward firing speakers(where the sound seemed more impressive?) but the sound from this machine is a little weaker in comparison. In any case, I'm using earphones 99% of the time so I don't consider that to be big deal. The trackpad isn't the best(not quite smooth, responsive and accurate 100% of time) but I usemouse 99% of time so HQ trackpad is of no real importance to me.Just before I downloaded OBS, I noticed the HUAWEI control panel had its very own screen recorder! It records in the highest of quality!..and the files are stored directly in the data drive. If you NEED audio then it'll be of no use to you as it records on-screen visuals and nothing more. I don't need the audio captured so it's perfect for me.All in all a very nice machine that ticks the 3 most important boxes I was looking to check. 1) Processing power. 2) Storage space. 3) Screen quality. If more battery life and/or audio quality, trackpad was crucial to me then maybe I'd have knocked off 1 star in my rating,, but since it's not, I believe this fine machine deserves all 5-stars.

Got this laptop while on offer for my daughter to use whilst at university.I've personally no expert, so the words are hers. In a nutshell, she says it's fast, great screen size, she uses it for all uni stuff, and Netflix and streaming and says the picture quality is excellent.Its lightweight, and the battery life is much better than expected.She's an apple lover, but hasn't a bad thing to say about this laptop.

Good sized screen with great clarity and colours. Relatively long battery life. Ideal for my coursework. Nice and light to carry around. All in all a really decent laptop

ok its never going to be the best out there and has no touch screen but if its as with me and you just want it as a cheap second machine it is excelent. does everything a day to day machine needs even a little light gaming, its quiet and doesn't run hot. its a clean look and is light weight.

This is the 3rd m/c bought for grandchildren. First 2 have been fine.

Great battery life, looks stylish and metal and great specs for the price, recommend fully thanks.

For the price it was a good buy, I bought it to replace a xiaomi mi book which I have had for 5 yrs, however the only down size is linux has no sound on it. for me its a deal breaker and a surprise as I have never had this issue with any other laptop, and is why I have rated it 3 because every other laptop brand and make I have had is compatible and Huawei do not seem to care about writing any updates to allow it to work either.

This is a brilliant laptop for schoolwork as it’s powerful so it can have multiple tests running at once and also the battery is comfortable for a school day with the possibility of needing charge.The screen is vibrant and direct with the screen being sleek and thin meaning it fits well in a bag
