This has become my favorite resource for helping my kiddo with math.
First of all, my 8yo 2nd grade kiddo is struggling with "memorizing" his additional tables so we started at the beginning of the book so I can access his strengths/weaknesses and reinforce any information that may be lacking. Some of the activities seem really simple but they are so good at reinforcing number facts. I LOVE that all of the activities can be considered "games" and hands-on and it has made learning/practicing number facts fun and I've gotten no complaints from the kiddo when it's time to play math games. The very first activity "Make 5" we turned into a family card game and it's so much fun. I can see playing this game on camping trips even when were past needing this activity for reinforcement. The second activity "Numbers Inside" I'm calling number bingo and we've enjoyed playing this one too.The purchase of this book includes access to online resources such as game boards, worksheets and other printables to be used with the various games/lessons. So just a heads up if purchasing a used one since the access code may have already been used.As a mom trying to help my kiddo improve his basic math understanding I find this book invaluable and I'm really happy I found this book. The activities are laid out nicely and the printables are easy to locate online and help reduce time on lesson planning.

Brilliant for working with children on number sense
I’ve been using various copies of this for years. Very practical - children enjoy the games and explorations. Great for giving children a deeper understanding of number and number facts.

book is falling apart after 15 minutes of use.
Lot's of great ideas, unfortunately the book is breaking away from its spine, after one time of looking through the book. I didn't bend the pages back, or do anything out of the ordinary.
