Yes the knives can cut, no they don’t stay sharp and the black finish is chipping off. Hand wash only and still have issues.

Amazing knives! I bought a set almost 3 years ago, then a 2nd set for my bonus mom for her birthday this year. They're fabulous quality and beautifully displayed.

Those knife are absolutely not ergonomic, except from 1, all of them have no guard if your hand slips on the all metal handle, you will cut yourself badly, nothing to stop your hand before the blade. The block isn't black at all, it's a pinkish brown, dosent match the knifes nor my kitchen.
