SimpliSafeSolar Panel for Outdoor Security Camera,White

I have two of these for 2 of our outdoor Simpli Safe cameras; keeps the battery at 89%...I'd have another for the third camera, but then I'd have 2 batteries sitting idle?!

If you have a good light and position, but are still not getting the charge to the battery, be sure to give the plug a good hard push into the receptacle on the camera.The panel also delivers a charge, even from reflected a light, but I am sure it is not as good as the direct sunlight.

The batteries that come with the SimpliSafe outdoor cameras just drain way too fast. These are a bit expensive but holy cow do they work. I went from 68% battery to 100% in an hour with VERY LITTLE direct sunlight. Ever since it’s been at a steady 100% meaning I basically never need to worry about it again. Works much better than expected. Bought another one for my other camera that had better battery life just cuz it’s so convenient.

Ok these things are awesome. The sun rises in my backyard and sets in my driveway. Conveniently my cameras were set up in the perfect locations for these to get full sun exposure everyday. I don’t think my batteries have ever dropped below 90%.

This small solar panel is being used for a front door camera looking out over a busy street. This negates the need to frequently recharge the camera battery. So far works well with no problems. My only complaint is that it is significantly more expensive than the knock off alternative batteries.

As long as you can put this panel in a place that it gets 1 to 3 hours of sun (dependent upon what setting you use), you will probably never have to change the battery. I haven't on mine in 3 years

I bought two of these to help prolong the frequency with which I have to charge my two outdoor battery powered SimpliSafe cameras. Both had full sun to do their work, both cameras began with full charges before plugged into solar panel. Tested them for a year, no difference in the frequency in between charging batteries that was necessary. Now one of the batteries is completely dead, it will not take a charge.I had a non-name-brand panel that worked pretty well for about 2 years before it died and so I though maybe the name brand one would work at least as well. No luck. SimpliSafe needs to find a better manufacturer.

While the camera didn’t work for me, this panel does a great job keeping it charged up. Removing the requirement to climb up and get the camera is always a nice thing.
