Low cost but useable calculator. It has some useful functions like stringing multiple calculations together (i.e. AxB+C) and facilitating calculation of a long string of numbers that need to be added/subtracted, etc. large, easy to read digits. Large raised keys are easy to press and are far enough apart so it is unlikely I will inadvertently press two at a time. While it does have some photocells, I think you would need a bright area to actually get enough power to operate the calculator. I keep my office lights less bright so they don't interfere with my computer monitor. Fortunately the unit has a compartment for a single AA battery which powers the unit if the light is insufficient for the photo cells to provide enough power.

I liked the fact that it was almost identical to the Sharp model I was used to and it was dual power, battery and solar, but the plus key quit working after only being used a few times.
