Please beware
I reluctantly have to give these caps a low rating after initially thinking they were an improvement over plastic ones.I fitted them as soon as they arrived in July, and also put them on my daughter’s car. It was only when she wanted to check her tyre pressures that we realised there was a serious issue. They wouldn’t unscrew!!! I tried too and they wouldn’t budge. I eventually got 3 off with pliers, but the 4th was so “welded on” that I had to use mole grips. I had the same problem getting the caps off my car too. It seems that there had been a reaction between the brass of the valve, and the nickel plated cap. It is such a shame because they look so much nicer than plastic ones but there is a real risk that the valve could become damaged in trying to get the metal caps off.
