Programmable Logic Controllers with ControlLogix 1st Edition

I have worked with older AB plc platforms for years, but our plant installed new equipment using Compact Logix brand. This new platform is quite different than anything previous. I had basically no idea how to use the tag system, or to navigate around the program in general. After reading this book for 30 minutes I was navagating like a pro, and starting to really understand the power of the tag based system. Will this book make me a Plc5000 programming genuus? The answer is probably not, but I allready feel like I can handle 90% of any issues that come up, and have been sucessful adding tags, and I/O.The enclosed CD has a bunch of short examples, and I found it to be very informative. This book is a definite must have for every industrial electrician!

Good PLC book for 5000

A very good book and much better than some other PLC books I have had. It helped me understand things better and not just the ladder logic but a broad area of things.

This is one of the better books you'll find on ControlLogix, and it covers some of the intricate details for experienced programmers.

Great book! Use it often

Not what I was think, but I can use it. I was trying order a problem that I can read and write to PLC's.

I had to get this book for class and it was $150 at the bookstore so this is a huge discount for the exact same book.

I thought it was a excellent book for covering the RSLogix 5000 platform. Went into great detail without being to lengthy on subject matter. Covered tag base very well.
