This product is described as a mattress pad which is a stretch since it only has a very thin terry cloth layer which is not even 1/5 the thickness of your average towel. But I bought it as a mattress protector, not a pad, so it's great so far. If you have a lot of nighttime accidents you should probably use absorbent sheets or maybe an additional pad just to soak up accidents since this product by itself doesn't seem like it would hold a larger accident. I washed it in hot and dryed on low (worried about dryer melting it) and it held up great. Will update review if any problems but think for the price these are great.

I am very particular about what I use for my grand baby - what it is made of - because so many materials are very toxic and babies' systems can't handle it well. Because I've found that the descriptions are not always accurate, I always check items when they arrive. I even posted a question asking previous buyers if it was cotton. I was told it was terrycloth, but terry cloth doesn't have to be 100% cotton. This mattress pad protector said NO WHERE on it what it's made of, not the sleep surface nor the backing. The packaging did not say what it's made of, and the tag in the cover said only that it is machine washable and stated the dimensions. Nowhere did it give the contents. I looked carefully 3 times. Because it is made in China and because they have tried to poison us on more than one occasion (Chinese drywall for example. What a nightmare that has been) I hesitate to use this pad. I thought everything sold in this country had to state what the fabric content is, but I guess I'm wrong.

I just received my Quirky Bubba Crib Mattress protector & I couldn't be happier with it! The product is made of terry toweling which is clearly stated on the packaging & the size is true to the description. All stitching is high quality and I really couldn't be happier with this protector. Thanks Quitky Bubba all I need now is for baby to arrive & we can start using the crib!

My son seems to think this mattress pad makes his crib more comfortable. He sleeps very well. He hasn't gotten wet through his diaper since I put it on so I'm not sure about effectiveness yet.

We have this for the IKEA mattress in our IKEA crib and it fits great. No major accidents to truly test it yet but the normal drool has not made it through and baby seems to find the texture comfortable.

Really thin material not sure if it will hold up for a while but so far it fixs my baby's crib mattress perfectly.

I have owned it for 2 months and it seems to be unchanged after several washes, though I was concerned that it will either shrink or tear. Surprisingly good for a price

they came as promised, but they were kind of cheap feeling. the material wasn't as soft as i hoped for. we wound up not even using them, so i cannot say if they would have gotten better after a couple of washes. we decided to go with flannel sheets for her crib instead.
