It tastes good with health benefits
I was very happy to find this as it is in powder form and not capsules. You can find the health benefits of this online but I drink this for digestion and my mom drinks it for her diabetes. We directly add hot water to a small amount of powder and it gives you a very mild soothing tea. If you are a straight tea drinker like me without adding anything, you wil like the taste. It almost has sweet taste to it. I was happy to find this and am satisfied with its quality and shipping. This is my second purchase. I declined the first time but decided to write this review this time in exchange for the same product free of charge from the company. I am satisfied with the product and it is my honest review.

Good for skincare and omega 3s!
I purchased this purslane powder to add into my skincare regimen. I added a small amount to a gel I apply to my face for the benefit of the omega 3s. Aside from this I have been taking it orally at max dose indicated for about a week. Too early to see results, however, it is mainly for increasing my omega 3 intake for brain, skin health. Great price! It is very finely ground and will dissolve in gel, or tea. I tried water but it does not separate out in water.

The supplement works fine. However the product is over dried
The supplement works fine. However the product is over dried. By over dried I mean burnt in the drying process. I could taste it. When I opened the bag I thought there was chocolate mixed in. I know it was over dried since I have made this supplement personally and know how it tastes. This particular plant takes much longer to dry than other plant materials because of how much water it retains along with the fatty acids the plant stores. This would explain the temperature being turned up to speed the dry time. What is most important, is that the supplement works and I felt the power of the nutrition after taking it, which is awesome! So the over-drying may not have affected the product at all. 4 STARS

It is likely good for you
I was turned to purslane by my brother in law. He may have discontinued it and I have included it in my supplement list for several years, 3, maybe 4. I was attracted by the notion that it added telomeres to the DNA strands and therefore prevented to slowed senescent cells. It may be working, people say don't look 74 and I am and when I look in the mirror, from my POV, I see a 74 years old man. I am still working full time and keep busy around the home. Maybe it is wokring. It is worth a try and don't expect immediate results or changes. Good luck.

A bit overpriced. I do not know if this ...
A bit overpriced. I do not know if this is working or not. I have been using for over a month. Supplements are hit or miss.

Using for Oral Lichen Planus
I had seen Dr. Berg on YouTube suggest using purslane for OLP (oral lichen planus), and I would try anything for the relief. I add a quarter teaspoon to my coffee every morning. Not sure if I can credit this product entirely to the remission of the OLP, but have not had an outbreak since just a few days after starting this regimen. Have used other Bulk Supplements products in the past and they are great value for money in comparison to buying smaller amounts in pill form. If anyone else suffers from OLP, one way I often found relief (before taking this purslane) was by swishing my mouth with Pepto-Bismol - it's very soothing.

Good for diabetic type 2
I tried capsules from a well known Vitamin house, but this is more effective at stabilizing blood sugar. Use a capsule filler. #0 capsules are about 500mg, about the same as the pre-made stuff. I am larger than most, so I am using about double the standard dose, which would be one capsule twice a day, on an empty stomach, according to research. I take this along with a large dose of Ceylon cinnamon, and I get about 5% reduction in blood sugar, but it won't cause "hypos". No side effects. The 1/8 tsp. dosage on the bag is so small there is little benefit. You can mix 1/8 tsp. in liquid and drink it instead, it isn't bad. The powder will make your hands or anything it touches sticky, as it attracts moisture. Looks a lot like very fine dirt powder. I keep it in a mason jar.
