Nutritious, delicious, healthy How did you come up with the idea for this product? America is having a health crisis. Incidents of childhood obesity, type-2 diabetes and heart disease continue to rise. The numbers, if you look into them, are staggering and the costs in dollars and quality of life are immense. KNOW Foods was started to help address this health crisis. Looking at what Americans eat, we realized that a ubiquitous staple of the American diet, bread, was discretely contributing to our health problems. In general, bread is highly processed, low in nutritional value and full of carbohydrates that spike blood-glucose levels and is found at breakfast, lunch and dinner. We decided to “build a better bread.” What makes your product special? Working with a chef and a food scientist, we “reimagined” bread. We eliminated the main ingredient, grain-based flour, and replaced it with nutrient packed healthy foods. Through “bread reimagined,” we were able to create KNOW Better Bread - a delicious, wholesome, nutritious alternative to bread - one with no grains, no GMOs, no dairy, no soy, no artificial ingredients and no unnecessary fillers. What has been the best part of your startup experience? We truly love what we do. We are incredibly fortunate to be producing products that are both nutritious and delicious. It has been extraordinarily rewarding to consistently hear consumers praise the taste and texture of our products knowing they are being evaluated against a celebrated staple of the American diet, grain-based breads.

It tastes good for a low carb
The Pros: It tastes good for a low carb, gluten free bread, and it appears to be healthy (if you believe their excessive over-selling of all the benefits... its always a bit fishy when someone tries to oversell THIS much!)The Cons: It has the texture of cake, or a banana bread.. very soft and mushy. It almost feels unbacked, so I had to bake it a bit, and toast it 3 times to get the texture to feel right, but then it was fine.More Cons: Its WAY too tick, esp given the consistency. If they had made it half or 3/4 of the thickness, you would probably only need to toast it once to get it to feel and taste like normal bread.Yet more Cons: I hate when companies try and manipulate "servings" to make their food seem better/healthier. Who eats half a slice of bread??? Seriously your serving size and label are for half a slice? If they just make it thinner maybe they can actually report nutrition for a full slice

😋 I can make eggs Benedict! 😋
Ok...only grain-based bread is grain-based bread. Nothing is going to taste or act exactly like it, it's just a sad reality of going grain-free. You can't cut grain-free bread thin because it falls apart. You can't really make sandwiches because it falls apart. It doesn't behave like wheat flour bread. It's just a fact, so there's no use in complaining about what grain-free bread *isn't*. If you want regular bread, eat regular bread.Once you make peace with the limitations of grain-free bread, you can judge it by its own merits. That being said, this is good stuff! Tastes a tiny bit like cake, but not in a bad way. A little dense, as almond flour tends to be, which I don't mind. When I've tried making grain-free bread at home, it's either too sweet or too eggy, this is much better than other recipes I've tried from around the internet.Once it's toasted, this a great base for anything open-faced and I'm fine with that.I can't wait to make cinnamon French toast with maple syrup, sliced bananas and toasted nuts!I toasted it twice and it was a great base for guacamole, sliced tomato and a poached egg. You have to add a little more salt to overcome the sweeter taste of the bread and get to savory.Overall, I'm thrilled to have something I can use as bread! And yes, it's expensive, but again, that's just a fact of going grain-free. The base ingredients (usually almond flour) will always cost more than cheap wheat flour, so it *has* to be more expensive. Once you learn to make bread a treat and not something you're going to eat with every meal, you'll be a lot happier.

Best low carb bread I've had so far
I recently ordered this on a whim because I was craving bread but wanted to stick to my keto diet. I wasn't expecting much because the low carb bread recipes I have made so far have all been the worst, so I thought this one wouldn't taste good either. I am glad to say I was wrong!! Yes, this bread is pretty soggy, but if you run it through the toaster twice it becomes delicious. It doesn't get crispy, and I did have some trouble spreading cream cheese on it because the bread breaks apart easily, but I'm willing to see past those things because the bread tastes very close to the real thing (rye bread). Low carb bread is usually pretty sweet and/or eggy (a flavor that I can't stand), but this one just tastes like bread. I love it and I will buy again!

A delightful bouquet of flavor on the palet!
This is the best bread I have ever tasted! It is moist and sweet. A bit expensive but worth it because it gives so much love. I have eaten many different paleo breads but this is the supreme example of how gluten free bread can be outstanding!!! This bread is too delicious to add butter jam or cream cheese! I highly recommend this heavenly experience! It is manna to my heart!!!

I wanted to like this bread and thought at $1
Waaaaay over priced, and extremely dense, and a little greasy YUK. I wanted to like this bread and thought at $1.25 per slice, this would be amazing. Don't waste your money. Invest in a bread maker or get the brand Three Bakers!

Very expensive, high carb, pound cake density, no thanks.
Not low carb, 20 g for 1/2 a slice of bread. Consistency of pound cake. Took forever to toast, very dense and moist, packaged and sealed moist? Won't return. High price point for 4-5 slices of bread.

Love this!
Anyone following a Paleo and or Keto lifestyle knows that there are not a lot of clean, non gmo convenient food items. Finding a suitable bread is a challenge and more often that not- we have to make our own from scratch- not anymore! Knowfoods does it for you! The bread tastes great and since there are no preservatives, it’s a no brained, keep the bread in the freezer and remove the slice shortly before needed to prevent molding. The bread tastes great and resembled real bread. Held up great against Tuna and a burger. I am so excited to be able to have sandwich options again! One slice is more than filling!
