Great practice balls for youngsters
These have been great balls for my 5 year old son to practice with. They are the right weight and feel to learn to throw and catch the right way....with a lot less hurt if they miss one and get hit. Haven’t hit these balls a ton but the durability seems good so far. Pleased with the purchase!

Softer than the Macgregor kids level one baseballs.
These are great balls for kids starting out at baseball. They are actually softer and more squishy than the level one Macgregor kids level one balls. They are a step between a level one ball (Macgregor level one balls) and a light soft foam baseball. These are great because they are the similar weight to a real hard baseball (also similar weight to the Macgregor level one baseballs) but they are much softer. My son got hit in face after missing a catch and it did not faze him. It keeps him from being scared of the ball. I would highly recommend as a safe practice ball for any kid, especially a beginner.

Great training baseballs for a 6-9 year old
My 8-year old son begged me to get these balls after he used them in our town's recreational baseball program. They are not too soft but also not as hard as big league balls. They are a good compromise. If your child is still a novice and wants a good ball for easing into "big kid" baseball, this is a good ball. Very throwable. Very hittable. Not soft like a Nerf, but also not so hard as to put a kid down if he/she gets inadvertently hit while playing. I plan to buy more of these.

Great starter baseball
I ordered this for my 7 year old to practice baseball with. It is soft enough to not worry about, but firm enough to emulate a regular baseball. It has held up well over the years too!

Fantastic durability
I purchased this before the pandemic when my students were obsessed with baseball and were using balls not made for baseball for their recess time. A real baseball wouldn't work as many didn't have gloves or the risk of injury. This ball was a perfect substitute. The kids were ecstatic to try it out and it lasted many recesses before we moved to online school due to the pandemic. Can't wait until we can toss this ball around again. Even if you bean someone with it, it's not going to cause serious injury. At the same time, it's still aerodynamic and feels like a real baseball.
