Exactly what I need

This heavy sediment filter has always worked well for me in our whole house filter. Our water tastes far better since I installed the filtration system. This brand works just as good as the name brands for a fraction of the cost.

I've been using this filter for several years now in my GE whole house filter. I have no doubts that it is filtering out sediment from the water supply. There is one tip I have for installation. Cut the water supply off to your house at your filter and then open several faucets in your house to relieve pressure in the lines. If not, the built up pressure will almost make it impossible to remove. Once the pressure is relieved, it's an easy and quick process.

Filter has been in for only one week but is picking up particles as evidenced by the color change from white to an orangeish color. This well water seems like it has more iron in it than water. That's as far as my rating on the product can go right now. Timely manner of delivery and items in good condition when received. As far as the "flavor" rating goes , I didn't taste it because I wasn't hungry at the time I installed it. Maybe on the next replacement. Activated coconut shells, sounds yummy!

This is my second time ordering this product, and will order again. As for pros, the fit and finish appears well constructed and fits exactly as the OE part does. As for cons, I did notice that the product developed an algae build up after only 2 to 3 weeks of use. However, the location of the filter is outdoors in direct morning sunlight for about 3 hours a day, so it may be more of an environmental factor then a product issue. The product arrived quickly, about a full week earlier than Amazon stated it would. I imagine this is due in part to the quick processing of the retailer, Fountain Distribution.

Its a good price but in long term u are paying the same amount as to buying the culligan heavy duty brand. Expectations on filtering functions still siding with the culligan brand. Will finish the second filter and will go back to the culligan order i had before.I have re-reviewed the filter, after I went back to the culligan brand. It is worth to buy the Culligan brand you'll end up paying more for longevity of the Culligan brand.
