Q: The included Manual States, “ The fan wires cannot be connected to a switch “ this is somewhat misleading can you provide an explanation?

My old vent fan/light was wired to two switches so we could turn on each separately if we wanted. I took the wires from the new fan and connected it to the fan switch wire. I took the wires for the new light and connected to light switch wires. Worked fine. I did notice that the connector that plugged into the new assembly was not a tight fit. I just took some black electrical tape over it to help keep it in place

Q: Does this Orion fan require attic access? I have a ceiling joist that blocks the attic access at my existing installation point.
