I do a lot of recording and performing, and I work with a lot of other musicians both on the stage and in the studio. I shopped around quite a bit before settling on a proper upgrade to my previous stage mic choice (the legendary SM57, used by hiphop vocalists and beatboxers the world 'round, and used by every US President since Hoover).My bar was a bit high... in the studio, I've invested a couple grand in my mic choices.
