Can I drill additional holes to the Acrylic board? Will it break?

IF! one uses a Step Drill bit, YES, one can drill Acrylic.

Will heavy duty command strips hold these rather than drilling holes?

It should be you will be able to see the strips through the acrylic

Want to hang on a window to display light weight xmas decorations. can i use some command strips in place of the screws?

I don't suggest it but I used Gorilla Clear Glue, 3.75 ounce Bottle, Clear to glue it permanently on a sliding glass door. It is very strong: I put my coffee and small breakfast plate while standing , eating and watching outside. It is un-noticeable clear when there is noting on it. I love it and will keep it forever. It will not be easy to remove it though.
