Can't get energy monitoring to work....locks up on config change.
I purchased this about 2 months ago and have been a bit disappointed. I gave it 2 stars because it works as a normal zwave on/off receptacle, but I couldn't get the Energy monitoring to work consistently. I have a zwave network of 10 devices running on a Aeotec Z-stick and homeassistant. The on/off functionality works well with these outlets and I have them scheduled to go on and off and they work with no issues. The outlets missed their mark with the energy monitoring and for the extra $30 I paid (as opposed to non-monitoring outlets) I would have expected that to work. At first they seem to work, but I quickly noticed they registered a fist reading and haven't updated since. I've tried rebooting them (turning off breaker at panel) and nothing seems to work. I also can't seem to change the LED status light to be on when switch is on (by default, LED is on when switch is off). When I try to modify the setting, the outlet locks up and falls off the zwave network...a powerbreaker cycle brings it back online. I have the same problem with the other outlet. If I still had the original packaging I would have returned it.UPDATE...I sent this review to Enerwave and got a quick response from them (within 1 business day). I give their support 5 STARS...I'm working with them on a resolution and will update as soon as I get one.UPDATE 2: With the help of Enerwave I got the new version of outlets with the "new firmware" and it is working as expected...just like any other "Energy monitoring" device. I tried to duplicate my problems and couldnt'. I give it a thumbs up and upgraded to 5 stars...great support from Enerwave.

Physical Switch Stops Responding, Must Reset Breaker to Gain Control
Purchased 11 of these switches for a rewire project. Have had significant problems with the physical paddle refusing to control the load after a day or two on at least 6 of the new switches. Blue light stays lit regardless of toggle position, and the only way to gain control of the physical switch is to reset the power to it at the breaker. Switch IS controllable with the Z-Wave controller when this happens; this only affects the physical paddle on the switch. Multiple circuits are affected; all of which have proper neutral and grounds.I have used the first generation ZW15SMs for quite a while (some on these same circuits) and never have had this issue. Have requested support from Enerwave on this issue, and am waiting for a response.

Still looking for a good Z-wave outlet. This isn't it.
Worked OK for a few months then stopped communicating. Required a couple power cycles (turning the circuit breaker off and back on) to get it into a state where I could re-include it on my Z-wave network. That was a pain since it required re-creating all the events that used that outlet.Pros: At least it reports some energy information.Cons: Only reports watts, not amps or voltage. Must be polled, doesn't publish changes to energy values. My search for a good z-wave outlet continues. This will be replaced once I find one.

It’s 2021 now and the support is not reachable.
Since there’s a comment mentioned the product works as expected “After firmware update provided by support”, I decide to have a try. But I can’t reach manufacturer either email or Facebook page. Most information I can reach shows the company support is dead. Please take it in consideration, although it seems the only z-wave in-wall plug with power meter feature.

This thing is junk
This thing is junk. I have 6 of them and they are all going in to the trash next month. After some time, first they will stop reporting power usage then physical control stops working then complete freeze until you shut off braker at the main electrical panel. After a week or two same thing again over and over again. I had their Z-Wave (older v1 version) and those worked good but not Z-Wave Plus version. If you don't want headache, skip this one.

Dead on Arrival
Wired this product all up and attempted to add to a ST Hub. (And yes, it was wired correctly). The outlet would not be recognized for add or exclusion. Moved my ST hub within 3 feet of this and still couldn't get it to connect to the hub. It's a major hassle to go through the process of wiring up an outlet only to find that it does not work as advertised. You might consider a z-wave enabled light-bulb instead of this purchase.

Hiss
Simple to wire outlet (hot/neutral/ground), but it began to hiss after the first day. Since a hissing sound is universally considered a bad thing I disconnected the outlet and replaced it with a normal (dumb) three-pole outlet and the hiss went away. Maybe I just got a bad unit, but from the poor reviews on the actual "smart" capabilities of this product, I don't think it's worth trying again with a replacement.

Great Product! Come with good finish, work perfect with Smartthing Hub.
Spent about an hour to install and figure out all settings.I think will purchase some more to replace all outlets with z-wave ones.I've purchased some z-wave modules from this brand before which use z-wave 300 chips for a project, and now they are using the 500 chips on this new release which should have faster communication and low power consumption. Gonna run a test to see what's the difference
