I'm amazed they're allowed to sell these things
Do not get this if you think the Android Auto feature is going to work. For the price of one of their high end home receivers, all you're basically going to get out of this is a double din radio and a backup camera. The map is /so/ /incredibly/ /slow/ to respond that it's not worth using, and that MULTIPLE sources show a /continuing/ problem connecting Android Auto (yes I've updated the firmware, yes I've bought one of the "supported cables", etc, etc, etc) means that you won't be able to even use that feature. The bluetooth has serious problems connecting and overall I should have just spent $250 on some JVC rather than almost a grand on a Pioneer.I'm amazed they're allowed to sell these things.

Great Head Unit
This unit offers an abundance of ways to connect your devices. I was overwhelmed with the number of navigation options I could achieve, especially Waze via usb & android auto. If you are looking for a unit with all the bells and whistles that sounds great, then this unit is a great choice. My only drawback is when my fingers smudge up the screen and the built in navigation can take a seconds longer to boot up. My back up camera comes all right away, but the lines take longer to be displayed, but you can still see behind you. If you really want to fully max this unit out, hook up the HDMI and both usb cords, but that was an overkill for me. You can also have a front facing camera, and slip the unit into front and back zones. I had this unit professionally installed and have enjoyed it very much, and lets face it; at this price I expected nothing less.Just remember some features are not available unless you have a smartphone hooked up via usb, or HDMI if you want to mirror your phone’s screen. Make sure you update it within the first few days, because after 45 days you lose the free update option. I updated my maps within a week and it was quick. I didn’t have to update the firmware, it came installed with the latest one, but check for yourself. I’m going to get the optional remote control to forgo touching the screen and having to clean it often. When navigating you might get this message “A part of the route requires special permits” if your route takes you into a gated community, or private roadway. I thought it was some setting, but it just recognizes my route is part of a private road/community. Just press ok and continue on with your route. So far I have not had any issues with this unit and it has been well worth the purchase.
