I love the bulbs, They are very white and bright :) I have a photo attached with an Edison bulb in comparison. I have had them for a couple/few months now and they are still great! My wife says the white light is easier for her when putting on makeup. I have other bulbs like these as well and they last a long time and are always a great buy.

I'm unreasonably excited about these lights. It's not a stretch to say they have transformed the look of our kitchen. Our kitchen is large and open, and has lots of dark colors - dark wood cabinets, dark countertops, black appliances (yuck, but no money to change them all out). Our previous lights were a soft white, and with all of the dark and our beige walls, the lights looked very orange. After a couple years of the lights bothering me (I hated the color and the CFLs having warm up), I finally decided to swap them out with LEDs. We went with the 5000K lights and the kitchen looks completely different, for the better. They are very, very white lights. They're also bright, but not annoyingly so.Pay attention to temperature color! It's huge. Some times you may not need a coat of paint but a different light instead. I bought a few different color temps before I settled. It was worth the effort.

These bulbs are really bright and I like the 4000K daylight they put out but I am having one problem, When the dimmer switch is in the off position these bulbs have a really faint flicker you can see when the room is completely dark, I thought at first I must have some low voltage running through the line causing them to flicker but when I installed another standard LED bulb in one of the five sockets of my dining room light they all stopped flickering.Not really sure why this is only happening with these particular LED bulbs but that flickering will drive me crazy so I am going to have to return them to Amazon.

being a photographer I know the kelvin scale and like this 4000k for most parts of the house when it comes to lighting our house. We are slowing changing the house over to LED. The 4000k is perfect for us for most parts of the house and office but for the bedrooms, we prefer a more softer yellow so the 3000K is best. This bulb is not stark white but not a soft yellow glow either, more like natural day light.

Several of these bulbs have failed in under a year. All have only been used inside. Any failing bulb appears to have a brownish liquid rolling around the bulb. I suppose it's probably silicone thermal interface material that overheated and oozed out.The bulbs were used in a non-humid environment, mounted horizontally in an enclosure (with total wattage well below the fixture's original rating). I suppose they overheated in the enclosure, even though the bulbs and product description had no warning against that. Next time Cree or another bulb explicitly rates for enclosed fixtures.

Worth reading all the One star reviews, they are all correct. If you plan on using the bulbs with a dimmer theses aren't for you. They do not completely turn off amongst other issues. If you are not using a dimmer I found these bulbs to be a great deal, in the end they were returned.

Replaced all the CFL bulbs with LED bulbs. Unbelievable the difference it has made, Brighter in the house, seeing things clearly. Don't have to have that many lights on just to see. Also saving money with these bulbs.

I bought a couple different brands on Amazon Prime Day and these rock. The problem with all this green energy stuff is that rarely does it perform as well as the original. The warm white color is nicer than I thought it would be and if the amount of time these will work is true, these are an absolute winner. Often LED lights are more like UV lights--stark, too bright, like you are in a garage, not a house. But, you get that GE Soft White feel with these at a more competitive price.The only thing I'm not quite certain about is the brightness. It still felt darker than usual in one of the rooms, but in another room I felt it was much brighter. So, I'm not going to hack away at their star rating for what could just be a lampshade issue. If you want a warm, long-lasting bulb, this could be the one.
