This item was originally scheduled to arrive two days after everything else in my order. Much to my surprise it came in the box with everything else! Was exactly the one I needed too.

Worked with my ancient Chrome device
I had no problems with this device and my old Chrome device. The cord was pretty long so it reached the wall. Everything was plug and play.

Chromecast Ultra does not see this as same as original power cord
One of my dear cats had chewed through the original power cord that came with my Chromecast Ultra so I purchased this. The Chromecast was still functioning w/USB power, but was saying 'connect the original power cord' in order to play 4K video. So, I purchased this, but even after connecting it to my Chromecast and verifying the light was on to indicate it had power, my Chromecast is still telling me I need to connect the original power cord and refusing to play 4K video, so for whatever reason it's not seeing this AC adapter as acceptable.

I hope this one lasts longer than the original power adapter
It looks like these things are not built to last. Original failed after about a year of use. It's not the money, but the annoyance of having to wait for the replacement.
