Shulaner Butterfly Kits

the item is a new item but arrived dirty with a stain, the stain is along the zipper line. I ordered a replacement and the replacement also arrived stained along the zipper line only it was a larger stain. I will return both items. I will say that the item is nice for its purpose but just a heads-up on the staining. If this doesn't bother you then the pencil case is good option for holding your colored pencils.

I love the design and it hold everything. My go to now.

Since my previous favorite brand, QianShan, doesn't have these smaller profile layered cases, Shulaner has become a go-to brand for me. Especially since I had purchased several of their bigger cases, high capacity cases, with larger bands (usually three pencil to a band), and hadn't had any issues with them. Some of the one-off brands I purchased from had inconsistent loop sizes and sloppy stitching. So far, I haven't had any of with Shulaner cases. I have quite a few now. After trying to consolidate my favorite pencil sets in the high capacity cases, I'm going back to mostly individual cases (with a few exceptions). The other cases were too heavy and I feared dropping them regularly.This case has layers with individual loops. Each layer has it's own zipper. I wasn't sure I'd like that, at first. However, I really do. It means the pencils in the other layers are secure, until I'm ready to use them. It should be noted that the individual loops are pretty small, so pens and markers aren't a good fit. However, they can happily accommodate fatter pencils, like Polychromos, just as well as they accommodate Prismacolor Premier pencils.I'm really pleased with my purchase. I do sometimes wish this style of case had a zipper pocket on the front or back, but it's not a "deal breaker."
