You have to throw it just right to get it to whistle, so it does not do it every time. I purchased this ball for a Summer Camp that I ran and it was a hit, not only for the campers, but the staff as well. Got this for my birthday 10 year old and he loved it. Super fun for him and the perfect size for kids. You can throw it a good distance and the feel/ quality is great. Other ones have easily broken and this one has lasted a long time with no problems. I will buy again and again!!
