These are great! They have the best swim action of any of the other segmented lures I have.

Great value! Catches smallmouth!Im in my mid 50s and fish ALOT.These knockoff ploppers are well worth price. Mine never rolled and the hooks are fine for smallies. Tail spinner worked great. Yes Chinese quality control is poor and you risk a bad lure or batch. But my ordered exceeded my expectations.

These are slightly heavier than the original whopper plopplers. If you do a rainbow cast, they will sink fot a second or 2. Still works though. Beats paying $12 for one and then a pike takes it on your 3rd cast. With these, if I lose it, it's not a big deal.The only con is that, the tail housing was not glued that well. Hit a log a few times and the tail housing completely came off. Had to superglued it back on. No biggie though. I recommend others to put a drop of super glue around the tail housing and let it dry before usingI think The hooks on these are better than the ones on the original whopper ploppler.

I struggle to get topwater bites in my area with a variety of lures, and tire of working/walking most of them. The beauty of this plopper style is that a steady return works. Just got a nice ~2lb bass on the first outing with these at dusk (typical size for our local pond). I've never had a topwater lure get hit so hard, what a blast!All of that for a box of 5 colors, vs the price of one of the original brand that made these...hard to complain.

I think these are weighted a little off. I understand they're supposed to be back heavy so they dangle in the water when paused, but the ones I received all completely submerge when paused. Then it takes more effort to pull it back on top to do the plopping action. This seems to take a good 5 feet of pulling it to the surface, shortening the cast and possibly causing too much disturbance in the water. I did get 2 bites on the yellow one, but they both came off. My drag was fine, I think it was the hooks. Short shanks tend to allow fish to pop off easier.I'll have to get a Dahlberg whopper plopper to test it against these. I'll update my review when that happens.

The pond I fish has some nice bass in it however they are not easy to catch. That all changed with when I used these lures. My 3rd cast netted a nice 4 pound large mouth when it slammed my yellow lure on a moderate retrieve. I had a time getting both sets of trebles out of his mouth. 2 casts later a 2 1/2 lb large mouth hit the same lure using a surface jerk retrieve. I decided to switch over to a wacky rig without any success. Went back to the plopper and got a short strike off another bass.I really love the commotion this lure makes when retrieving. It's like turning on the bass dinner bell.

Good colors, decently made for the price I guess but their not river2sea quality. 3 of mine slow sink so there's that and they just don't have the cup in the tail and the "plop" a r2s whopper plopper has maybe because you have to fish it faster to keep it on top of the water. They may catch fish when the bite gets more aggressive.
