GE LED Undercabinet Light Fixture, Linkable Integrated Plug-In Light Fixture, Daylight, 18in (1 Pack)

I bought two of these 18 inch 10-watt fixtures to replace two failing 18 inch 15-watt flourescent undercounter lights. They are probably 50% brighter than the flourescents.What I REALLY like about them is the ease of installation. They have captive screws built in to the fixture. Using my electric screwdriver I simply placed them where I wanted them, put the bit of the screwdriver in each screw, and pulled the trigger. They sucked the fixture snuck up against the cabinet.They come with plastic plugs to cover the screw holes, for appearance.

I had this same light under a counter in our kitchen for over five years. I plugged it into a motion detection device that plugs into an outlet in a dark area of the kitchen. Just walking into the kitchen this thing light ups the area so well, I rarely turn on the over head light. Screwing it into the underside of the cabinet took a little patience but not impossible, and doing it every five years is not bad.

This is a terrific undercabinet light, and I love mine being true white and LED. I always have a spare in my closet and that's how much I love this product.

Bright, streamlined, and modern! But, as several others commented, my purchase was like getting two left shoes--the factory installed two "output" ports and no "input port". The power plug has a round node and a square node. You'd think that would be enough to get people to plug it in correctly. GE engineers decided people would need a backup to make sure, so they put a notch on the side with the round node. The problem is, that specific setup only fits the "output" side that you'd use if you wanted to string multiple light fixtures together. The "input" side needs the notch to be on the square node side, or it won't fit. That is, until you cut that extra notch off very carefully. Then, it fits great and snug because there also is a little clip that holds it in place.Bizarre defect, but again I'm not the only one who got such a unit. Return it or at your own risk cut the notch off.4-star light could have been 5-star. Oh well. It's bright, looks good, and the price is great versus other 12W lights that also look chunkier than this unit.

My kitchen has a skylight over the direct work area in the kitchen which is great on a sunny day but not so great other times. This light massively improves visibility over my counters! It's not more than one inch in profile so you can't see it under the cabinet, which is a nice touch.The only downsides/things to watch out for is 1) there were no instructions included but everything was pretty intuitive; 2) the installation screws are long enough that they could poke through the bottom of your cabinets if you put them in all the way; 3) the 3M sticky things that they give you to hold the cord in place are pretty useless so you might need something else to secure the cord so it's not hanging; and 4) the cord inserts are one sided, so the power cord can only get plugged in on one side and the connector cord can only get plugged in on the other side, which is something to consider if you're buying multiples to connect.All that said, it's a great light, it's really improved my kitchen, and I'm going to buy another one!

Needed a bright light over the sink on my apt. This is easy to set up. Happy with it

This is designed to be installed on above counter cabinets and perfectly suited for that purpose. The unit comes with all the installation items that you will need. It attaches very easily to the surfaces of the cabinets and has a very low profile fit to be almost imperceptible except when needed. It is bright and easy to use. I highly recommend this unit for quick and easy installation.

Needed brighter light in a dark corner and this option seems to work well, tho' I wish there was some kind of built-in feature to hide the extra cord length. I am not confident enough with electric to shorten myself. Also the connector, that joins the two fixtures, was not long enough for my space. All-in-all, the lights were easy to install -- just 2 screws each. I should get a few years of use, if I calculated my usage correctly. Note that the bulbs can not be removed so the whole fixture has to be replaced. I will likely purchase several extras to keep on hand just in case they are discontinued, which is what happened to the previous fluorescents I used in this space. Most importantly, the quality and color of the light is bright and warm, which is really nice. I will be completely happy once I figure out how to hide the cords, but I knew that would be an issue going in, so I can't fault the product for that -- so 5 stars.
